staying "very close" to your calorie goal? or staying UNDER your calorie goal? there's a difference. keep at it. <3

I drink all my water out of tumblers that come with straws. It keeps my "need-something-in-mouth" thing satisfied while sipping on the agua and gives me the placebo effect of thinking I'm having a fountain drink. <3

My mom, who I was terrified of telling that I was trying to eat healthy, text me and asked me if she could buy me an egg poacher so my eggs are healthier. <3 Support is awesome.

For me I have to use a container with a straw. The straw is like tempting in a way and I keep going back to my water even if I'm not exactly thirsty. Maybe this comes from years of drinking fountain sodas?

Be the weirdo with the scale! *cheerleads* Or just dgaf and take off some calories in the next few days until you feel satisfied that things are evened out. <3 love, your neighborhood vegetarian commenting on a steakhouse post :D

Getting to Hawaii end of May and LIKE being in my bathing suit! Or at least not hating it/wearing coverups/staying in the water longer than I want so no one has to see my body. <3

Hmm. This might sound depressing but my worst trigger is when I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror. I can be feeling good all day, energetic, healthy, making good choices, and then if I see my fat belly in the mirror it's like "what's the point? it'll take a miracle" and then all I want to do is binge eat cause I feel…

Have you tried journaling? And by journaling I mean stream-of-consciousness rage-writing. If I sit down with a notebook or at a computer and rage-write everything I'm feeling for a good 2-3 pages, I feel much better and can make better decisions. I have full on conversations with myself like "what are you doing?? why do…

Thanks, guys! I've never been much of a cook so I often do the "grab an apple" kind of meal. And the meat subs I do get are things like quorn and morning star which seem to have high sodium and other not-so-great things. I guess I need to start cooking tofu, but really my kitchen is only ever used for the refrigerator. I…

Good for you! Eating with family is the WORST. At least my family. If they see me trying to make good food choices there an endless amount of banter about it - and not in a positive way. We just have to keep doing it for us because we're the only ones who live with the reward or consequences.

*gasp* :o people lose their taste for mac n cheese?? I hope I can be one of you someday. <3 jigglypuff
