For the first time ever the scale was 0.6kg heavier this morning but my smaller clothes fit better! I'm hardly a gainer for muscle but I am so pleased about the clothes!14

I started to wear a tight skirt to work so that I will not kid myself into thinking that I'm done with my weight loss goals. The skirt was uncomfortable to wear but now, suddenly, it isn't so tight. I've been stuck on the same weight for so long that I can't trust this change. I think it's going to disappear. Poof!14

I do the same thing! lol - just to remind myself that because I'm smaller doesn't mean I am at my goal! Wearing pants today I haven't worn for years - tight but a good reminder!9 -

I'm with you on the not trusting the change part. I keep thinking I'm going to wake up one morning back at 5'3" and 190 pounds again. And yet ironically when I actually WAS that size THAT felt unreal to me because I never perceived myself that way. It's like I'd been waddling around in a dream. I'm currently hovering JUST over the top of the normal range on the BMI chart and not suffering any of the side effects others report about the brain not catching up and, say, sucking in when I'm about to walk down a narrow corner shop aisle. Apparently my brain's perceptions have adjusted just fine, yet at the same time I do still fear it could be taken away from me in the blink of an eye, like a cosmic 'Just kidding!' Bit of a paradox.
Anyway, to contribute an NSV to the thread, I have this huuuuuge coat I've been wearing around for the past 5 years. It was an intentionally oversized army surplus type thing that I told people I wore because it was so soft and cosy that it was like a security blanket, not because I was trying to hide myself inside it. Well, I finally noticed that it was not just 'too big' now but comically too big to the point where it's intentional oversized-ness is kind of meaningless. I haven't found a replacement coat that I like yet, but to tide me over during the seasonal transition I did pick up a new fleece-lined hoodie. The medium was probably a bit of a better fit but the small zipped and doesn't look like a sausage casing so I got that, knowing that my weight is still on the way down.
Now contemplating if there is enough truth in that 'cosy security blanket' statement to keep the other jacket around for a while. I've donated loads of clothes already during this process but coats are expensive, plus this size and shape would be good for layering in a colder environment (I'm about to move to the northern US so next winter will be much more brutal than the ones I've been experiencing in the years since I bought the coat). On the other hand, I also wonder if it might have too many associations with the hiding myself and lying to myself phase of my life.14 -
Keep the coat - I have lived through a winter that was brutal for me (but not for people from northern US or Europe) - you will be so grateful for it when you can layer upon layer underneath I so understand though. I need to see evidence that I still need to lose weight - so the clothes stay a little tighter for now6

I held crow pose yesterday at yoga for the first time. I made a goal this year to hold an inversion pose with my feet in the air and it's crazy to think I will actually hit that goal.28

I literally JUST bought new pants for a trip and opted to go with tight rather than fit because I know I'll lose it. Also, it helps if the pants are a little like a maw of teeth to remind me, "Nope, you don't need all them snacks you're eyeballing. All it takes is a few extra pounds to turn tame pants into dragonpants!"

But, as an NSV because that is what this thread is, I was able to hunt up tame(ish) pants in the next size down. WOO HOO!16 -

Not sure if I'm using the quote feature correctly but I, too, wear a coat to hide myself. It's the same black jacket I've been wearing for years and I dread when summer rolls around and I can't wear it.

I'm wearing my black jeans. No really -- my BLACK JEANS. The black ones. Oh yeah, and it wasn't even a struggle to put them on. I just stepped into them and pulled them up. Like people do.38

I tried 2 new vegetarian recipes which I was dubious towards, and I’m immensely enjoying both! Will try a third one before the week is over. The NSV is expanding my palate and finding more vegetables to enjoy!20

I went on vacation, logged what I ate, ate what I wanted and the scale didn't go up went I got home29

I walked past the coconut puffs at the café today (three times) and stuck to my black coffee/tea.
I way over ate yesterday and I knew that eating one (or more) of those would make me feel miserable! They carry those regularly, so I know that I can easily get one another day when I'm feeling it more (and have the calories for it). Old me would have bought 2 of them regardless of consequences (hello bathroom!)16 -
I worked out today and it only took a LITTLE self encouragement. For some reason the past week and a half I've been in a weird funk where I've just had no motivation... last week I did 1 and a half semi okay workouts and then yesterday managed to procrastinate myself out of it... but today I really gave it my all because slacking won't help me reach my goals.23

Wore a tight red dress to my St Patrick’s Day party and felt awesome! I spent too much time dancing to eat or drink everything in sight, so I hit 33k steps and was way under my calories.
As an added bonus, met my BFF’s SIL who was thrilled to death to have a reason to buy a new dress after losing a bunch of weight after falling in love with lifting, thanks in part to my BFF gifting her New Rules of Lifting for Women after I raved about it so much. Definitely felt good to know that in a small, very indirect way, I helped someone get healthy and find a healthy lifestyle!23 -
My husband offered me some dulce de lèche Haagen dazs. I’ve exercised enough today to have some but refused any ways as I know the next few days are going to be challenging because we are traveling
I also converted our restaurant plans for tomorrow night into a quick picnic so we can enjoy an evening walk in the city. Good solution to help reach health and financial goals, haha23 -
Yesterday was big for me because I got past my near obsession with doing everything possible to be the healthiest person I can be, and donated blood. Truly a victory to feel strong and healthy enough to do something like that.39

Giving blood is a generous, selfless act. While we’re all concentrating on eating, drinking water, logging, cardio, strength training, and interim wardrobes, you have added in “helping others.” I admire you.18

I had to get a new shirt for scouts. My L was way too baggy. I remember it being too tight not too long ago.23

I had calories left and had planned on jelly beans as a treat during the day - didn't feel the need for them, removed them from my food log. I also didn't feel the crave for the mini cup cakes (just a little crave) lemon, chocolate, or carrot at work tody, they looked good. I just didn't need them. Amazing for me.21

I’ve been keeping my “fat jeans” in regular rotation over the last year as I lost weight. They’re the largest size I own and were probably at least a size too small for me at my heaviest. Of course they’ve gotten looser over time, but I kept wearing them because baggier is comfier IMO.
I put them on today and realized they’re officially too big to be safely worn out in public; they barely stayed up when I was just standing still. I can’t say I’m too bummed to lose them as a wardrobe option31 -
I have been on here now for 10 days and not given up again. That is small but still good. I see that I enjoy veggies more as I eat more of them. In a way that is not much of a victory but a byproduct of being here, but it made me eat - and enjoy - a piece of kohlrabi instead of sweets.28
