We had a health assessment at work last week, I've lost 30 pounds, my BMI is down, my total cholesterol is under 200, my HDL went up 15 points, and my blood pressure is down from this time last year. I've got a long way to go but it was really encouraging to see the improvements I'm making.45

415 lb block pull PR this morning...

Just hit a 30 day streak. Now I didn't log for 6 days but I logged in. LOL. And I didn't log because I had surgery and I was in no position to be counting calories or logging my food. BUT, I think just logging in reminded me what my goals are and kept me in check because that week I didn't gain or lose, I just maintained and to me that's a victory considering I ate a LOT of ice cream (dental surgery - ice cream was the only thing that didn't hurt for two days).
But the real NSV was when my fiance confirmed that I am breathing better now. He can take me for longer walks and we're both happy about that since he also wants to lose weight and enjoys working out with me.24 -
A co-worker and I were on our morning walk and were discussing walking during half of our lunch as well. My response was "I think that's a good idea, I want to walk more so I can eat more" it's finally clicking that I need to keep up my activity to eat at the level I desire (being a shorty this is so important)19

I found my waist again! I haven't seen it in years! Down from a size 26/28 to a 14/16.38

Health screening/assessment for work
Glucose 95 (hovering above 100 for a couple of years)
HDL @ 40 (has been under 40 for years)
everything (except BMI) in the "Good" ranges. And BMI is trending down as well.
Pretty good for 61years.
Can't wait until my annual physical.

Fitting into size L/size 12 dresses and workout pants. I was shocked!!23

Passed up free cupcakes and cookies at work even though they were from my favorite bakery.18

I wanted to swing by the Kmart tonight to check out closing prices and went to google maps and had to change it from biking mode to car. Seems like I use it more to plan bike rides than driving.
Set a goal today to ride 300 miles in April, actually the last three weeks in April as I will be traveling the first week.20 -
I passed up a work pizza party. PIZZA!!! Yes, really.18

I can consistently get my knuckles to the ground when I fold in half.20

I don't wake up feeling awful about my weight so much that I struggle to go back to sleep at 3am anymore, partly because I'm tired from the gym and partly because I'm addressing the issue, finally.39

I've been eating at maintenance more or less since hitting healthy BMI in November (more or less because I'm still trending downwards) with the intention of slowly recomping and going from a 33 inch waist to 30" by my birthday in June. Well, it seems my birthday came early! Thirty inch waist!
My fitness goals for this year included running a sub 30 minute 5k, a sub 8 minute mile, and a waist less than 30 inches. I ran the 8 minute mile last week, and yesterday ran a sub 29 minute 5k for the second time. I need some new goals!36 -
Today marks day 53 of logging (so close to the two month mark) and also a month and a half straight of working out 4-6 days a week. Small NSVs, but meaningful to me nonetheless.
My pants are also getting roomy... might be time for a shopping trip soon

Been to 3 yoga classes a week consistently the past three weeks in addition to running between 18 and 21 miles a week and getting some bouldering in!18

I started this long journey about 5 weeks ago and the scale only shows a 13lb weight loss ... however I can now walk up the stairs without being out of breath and I look forward to the gym each day! Plus I put on a pair of my work pants this morning and had to use a belt!21

had to clean out my tank tops and t shirts I bought last year as the larges just look too big now and will be looking for mediums.....never thought I would be in a medium top

My husband was rubbing my upper back and noticed that I was developing some muscles up there! "You're working hard and it's paying off"25

This my first one, but I started lifting and eating healthier and lifting regularly at the start of the year.
The other day my 9 year old and I were playing around and he went to punch my arm so I flexed my biceps. He said “ouch dad I punched your bone.” I smiled and let him know that was muscle. Felt pretty good after that.37 -
NSV1: Have been thinking really that my shoes 'must be comfier' or something as I can stand around for hours on end now before getting sore feet.
Realised this morning that it probably isn't my shoes, it is more likely to be the 50 odd lb less weight that is in them!! Felt nice hehe
NSV 2: My mate bought me a tshirt (M) back from Hawaii and it is lovely. Was wary when I held it up, but grateful she had got me something I would fit into soon if not now, rather than the size I used to wear.
Tried it on, and voila, it fit! mega chuffed! now I have 2 tshirts that are 'fitted' and not hugely baggy!31 -
Took 2nd in my age group at the Celtic run earlier this month!27

I still love reading these! I had a girlfriend bring over a shirt for me for an event and for the first time I wasn't totally worried if it would fit. It fit perfectly and I don't even know what size it was, I never asked. It's amazing how much less stress I have when I don't have to worry about clothing/fitting.22

Two of them recently:
1) Was out walking the dog yesterday and a neighbor yelled, "you're looking slim!" as I walked by. Slim has never been a word used to describe me... EVER.
2) Pulled some old flats out of the closet to wear. They used to rub against the side of my pinky toe so I rarely wore them. I realized that my feet have shrunk a bit and they are actually a little too wide now and my feet keep sliding around in them!24 -
I just had one the other day but I have a new one now: after 2.5 years of climbing plus also probably due to having lost weight the past few months I now have a hint of muscle definition in my forearms. I noticed it the other day and just now when brushing my teeth. Maybe I am not supposed to feel excited about this as a girl, but I do!! Hope this translates into finally defeating the overhang at the bouldering wall tomorrow!24

After almost reaching my arbitrary goal last Summer, I gained a bunch of weight last Winter. I finally came to my senses when I realized that I had discarded all my larger clothes and couldn't gain any more without having to buy larger sizes. I have been able to lose weight steadily this year, so that's no news. Logging your eats and paying attention to your calorie needs is going to work. The NSV today is that I can once again leave the L shirts in the closet. My M's are fitting again.31
