  • Thank you! Should I eat a bit more on the days I lift? What about my Fitbit adjustment?
  • Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out! When I was at 1500, I was losing about a pound a week. I've been using MFP for 2 years, but I'm one of those chronic yoyoers, losing and gaining (highest weight was 162, lowest was 139). I've been back at it since the new year and have lost 5 pounds (some extra stress…
  • My Fitbit!! It has given me a much more accurate account of my activity level. Close second is my food scale.
  • These are some great ideas, thank you!
  • Combat Crunch is my favorite. It has 5g per bar. My second favorite is Quest, now that they have re-engineered their formula.
  • I'm 143.4 lbs, 5'6", and 27. My goal is 130. I'm currently set to 0.5 lb/week loss and lightly active. It gives me a base of 1750. I have a Fitbit and it usually adds another 300-600 calories depending on my steps for the day. I typically eat between 1500-1700 calories a day. I have been having success with this. 1200 is…
  • I checked out your diary, and I eat more protein than that on a typical day and I'm losing. Weight loss can stall for many reasons. Time of the month, sodium levels and water weight, etc. Have you lost more than 10 lbs? If so, have you had MFP recalculate your nutritional goals? The less you weigh, the less you need. How…
  • Ooh, that's a good idea!
  • Thanks! I tried some alcohol on a cotton ball and got some off. I'll try some dish soap as well. I had the Zip but had wanted a wrist one for a little while. When I saw the pink one advertised in the target ad, I immediately went and got it. Pink is my favorite color. It's just the band gets dirty very easily. I think I'm…
  • You can get PB2 on Amazon.
  • I don't work out like a "man" but I do average between 100 g and 130 g of protein every day. Protein (and fats) help with satiety (feeling full). I've tried GNC's Lean Shake 25 line and Premier Protein. The Lean Shake is designed to be a meal replacement and has a lot of micronutrients in it as well. I absolutely hated the…
  • I get the 40 calorie honey wheat bread by Nature's Own. 2 slices is supposed to be 80 calories, but when I weigh it out, it is almost always around 88 calories. But still not bad at all, in my opinion. There are also some Sara Lee bread's that are 45 calories a slice. There's also flat breads and wraps available.
  • Monday through Friday I pack the same thing every day (I'm picky). I make a PB&J with Nature's Own 40 calorie honey wheat bread, 16 g peanut butter, and 25 g reduced sugar jelly. I also have ~100 g of cucumber and 15 ml of reduced fat ranch (1/2 serving), a cheese stick, and a Greek yogurt. About the only thing that…
  • I drink a Premier Protein shake for breakfast, because it is convenient. I have also tried and liked GNC's Lean Shake 25, which is more of a meal replacement shake (though it has 25 g of protein). When I was going to the gym, I would drink one after my workout on the way home. Since I've stopped going, I've been having one…
  • I was using the zip for almost a year now and just got the HR today. Target has it on sale for 129.99 this week and it now comes in pink! I am a little obsessed with pink. I'm excited to have stair tracking and sleep monitoring. Target also has a promo for the Alta.
  • For me, it is because I am incredibly picky and really sensitive to textures. For example, I can't eat yogurt with fruit chunks without gagging. It's taken me awhile, but I've learned that it isn't necessary to force myself to eat something because it is "healthy." It only leads to binges on foods I do like. I have been…
  • My settings are set to Lightly Active. When I hit ~5,000 steps, I have earned all my calories for the day. Above that, I start earning calories. Having the Fitbit has been an eye opener for me. I hope you can get one soon, they are awesome!!
  • My goal is set to 1710 cals a day for a 0.5 lb loss a week. My Fitbit generally adds anywhere from 50-300 calories a day depending on how active I've been. I typically eat a minimum of 1500/day. I will admit I was off track for awhile and wasn't logging and just started getting back into it this past week. Feel free to add!
  • I'm also a member at the Y. I've been a member at 3 different locations now, and have always had a great experience. They advertise their personal training, but don't force it. When I did want to sign up, the trainer I was paired with was very cool about me only being able to afford the 1x/week for a month package vs. the…
  • I teach K and completely understand. I'm pretty lucky that their lunch and specials (my plan time) are spaced out reasonably well, so I can drink enough water. That in itself helps a lot, though I totally understand that not being feasible. My kiddos have lunch at 10:30 am, so I just have a Dannon Protein Yogurt Shake and…
  • I'm 5'6" and my goal is ~130 lbs. At this point, I'm more going by the way I look and not the number on the scale. If you go by the wrist test, I am on the line between a small and medium frame. I started at 164 lbs last January, got to 138 lbs in June. Between school starting up again (teacher) and then the holidays, I've…
  • Lean Shake 25 from GNC
  • Other than the taste being off, is there a way to tell if you've purchased the new formula? Thank you. Turns out I do have the new recipe for the Cookie Dough. I hadn't eaten them in awhile, so I thought my taste buds had changed slightly. Nope, it's the new formula.
  • Thanks for the tips! I have some time on the weekends, so I could try experimenting with mixing flavors. I will have to try the blackberry by chobani. Their simply 100 raspberry lemon is smooth and amazing. I've tried some of trader Joe's yogurt. The flavors were really good but I did have to pick around some chunks. But I…

  • I LOVE the Cravings PB Cups. They are very dry, so it's a little odd at first. But the more I eat them the more I love them. I usually have just one and then drink some water with it.
  • I thought I was the only one. I took one bite of the lemon bar and had to throw it out! I immediately thought of floor cleaner!
  • I enjoy my Zip. I have a Polar FT 7 for heart rate monitoring. I had the Charge HR in the beginning, but mine was malfunctioning (saying I took the stairs 30 times when it was 3) so I returned it and got the Polar. At the time all I really wanted was HR monitoring. But then I got curious about the steps I took at my retail…
