12 Years a Slave It was written by Solomon Northup, the movie was based on this book. He is so perceptive, and has such a keen memory of his 12 year struggle. Also, the movie does not do justice to his intellect and to some of the few good people he encountered in his struggles. 99 cents on Amazon.
