NSV Mighty mama

Our church is abouta half mile away so, as part of committing to being a more active fanily, we walk instead of drive. My husband wasn't with us this morning so it was just me with my girls in our double stroller and my 6 year old walking. About halfway home my son was complaining that his feet hurt and we discovered his new shoes were giving him blisters. Because we needed to get gome quickly I offered him a piggy back ride while I pushed his sisters. I figured if I could do that for a minute it wpuld get us that much closer to home. I made it all the way home, 45 pound kid on my back pushing 65 in our stroller. And it wasn't even difficult! Not a chance I could have done that a few months ago! It felt so good to know that my poor health didn't prevent me from meeting my kids' needs!

Rock on SuperMom! Seriously Wow! I thought I was doing good when my daughter ( 40 lbs. ) fell asleep down hill from our house at the neighbors. I had to carry her up hill then up front steps and upstairs to her bed ( another 13 steps ). Way to go!0
