  • I ran the Powederface21 (there is also a 42 of course). http://powderface42.com. It's a beautiful and challenging mountain race in the Canadian Rockies just outside of Calgary. I recommend it! Congrats on the race and even more so for enjoying it so much! I think the next one I want to try is one of the warrior dashes.…
  • :) hahah! I think the lady has already decided what she wants. It's not an "if I should or shouldn't" post. All I suggest is to make sure you go somewhere safe and professional, don't cut any corners. I am a critical care RN and I have taken care of middle aged women who died from having a boob job that went wrong…
  • Dried fruit (mango or apricots are my favs) and almonds or cashews Dr. Kracker flat bread (has seeds in it for protein) club soda (I like the bubbly and it helps me feel full when I've eaten enough) edamame greek yogurt with a small amount of honey beets (boiled and cubed) instant oatmeal minute rice cups (several…
  • I came to MFP after loosing some to. I think that drive to be healthier is what led me to this tool. I love it and it's been incredibly helpful. I think using this tool in combination with a previous drive to be healthy is what has helped me achieve my weight loss. It's made it so much easier to keep track and understand…
  • Just go buy some really sexy new lingerie and underwear, maybe that will help? Great work with the weight loss!
  • Also there is an option in your settings to relabel your meals. It doesn't really make any difference to me but maybe it would help you?
  • I work shift work and have to swap back and forth. I start over when my calorie counter resets in the middle of the night. As long as your 24 hour calorie count is good I would guess it's okay. My dinner ends up as my breakfast and my breakfast as my middle night snack and my lunch as my dinner and then I supplement with…

  • Hooray! I love Skateboarding. I started in High School skating around the streets in the middle of the night in my small hometown circa the year 2000. To this day I continue to scoot around town on a skate or longboard with my husband. It keeps me feeling young.
  • Maybe ask for a referral to a nutritionist? Get a second opinion for yourself. Ask your Dr. for more scientific references or journals and information so that you can empower yourself and know that you are making the right decision for you!
  • I find a lot of really great recipes in health books such as Superfoods and the book Eat To Live. Check out the website www.sunfoods.com for some neat appliances such as dehydrators, blenders and neat chopping/noodle making devices. They also carry some interesting nutritional items, foods, snacks and treats (I love their…
  • I don't know yet, I'm looking around for more information. I'm mostly using common sense when searching for what to ingest. Pure, fresh as possible, unprocessed or naturally processed. etc. I think I might order something from this website: http://www.sunfood.com They have a nice selection of supplements and Superfoods too.
  • As an adaptogen, beyond Libido, the way it acts physiologically on the body it can help increase energy. It helps increase blood oxygen content which can help the body deal with stressors. It also has positive connections to immunity. Read the book Superfoods, by David Wolfe. He is fairly well sited and provides scientific…
  • Also, there is a lot more said about Maca (research based) then just libido enhancement. FYI.
  • Most low cal drinks are also low alcohol. I guess you have to go all or nothing. I tend to stick to Canadian Sublime 67 and water or club soda and lime. No tipsy times for me unless I factor in the calories for a few glasses of organic sulphite free red wine.
  • Can you provide a reference to support your claim and then a diet plan that absolutely covers all the other areas that I am deficit in (not able to achieve each day with my whole food diet on calorie restriction) such as potassium, iron, fibre, omegas, energy enhancements? See this is the issue: My question was…
  • How? Can you outline a daily diet that meets all your nutritional needs and then provide me with a week of diets with variety?
  • I have a good multivitamin already. Thanks. What do you know about Maca and why would you tell me to skip it. Thanks in advance.
  • I am turning 30 this year. My husband and I will be celebrating our 7th anniversary. No kids yet and no plans soon. We go back and forth on it. But I completely hear you about all the reasons to not have a kid. I think if I took the opportunity off the table completely I might feel deprived of it, but I can see the…
  • It takes a little to get used to but I drink club soda. You can put a little lime, lemon or some cranberry juice in to flavor it up but I also like it just plain. Plus it helps me stay hydrated.
