What was your favorite Race?

So I just finished my first Half Marathon in Akron, OH a couple of months ago. It was so amazing and such a rush, I loved every minute of it. So much that I want to continue running as many races as I can.

I have decided to start a new life goal... to try and run a race in every US State. So far I ran a race in Virginia, Ohio, and Washington DC. I just signed up for another Half in Charleston, SC in January.

My question to all those runners out there.... What was your favorite race? Which one was the most fun? i've heard there are marathons where bands play while you run!!! I am looking to do 10k's or longer! Any suggestions would be great!

    the Rock N Roll series events are awesome! usually have a band about every mile on the course and then live band at the finish. so much fun and amazing crown support. my all time favorite was the Dallas Rock N Roll! beautiful course, and then free Bret Michaels concert after. time of my life!!

    in May, here in Indianapolis, we have the 500 Mini-Marathon. I ran it for the first time last year and loved it. I plan on doing it again next year.

    I ran the Powederface21 (there is also a 42 of course). http://powderface42.com. It's a beautiful and challenging mountain race in the Canadian Rockies just outside of Calgary. I recommend it! Congrats on the race and even more so for enjoying it so much! I think the next one I want to try is one of the warrior dashes. http://warriordash.com.
