I didn't look at your diary but I'm thinking if you went from eating tons of fast food to eating healthy you're probly dropping a lot of eater weight too. Fast food is full of sodium which equals water retention! Keep up the good work, you're doing great :)

I like everything in salad, the usual eggs, cheese, sometimes lunch meat or cold chicken breast but my secret ingredient if I ever don't feel like salad is Frenchs crispy fried onions!!!! Well worth the 40 cal for a tablespoon of delicous!

Welcome Lynsie! You're my second friend LOL. I think this is a great step you're taking, its not easy but if there's one thing I've learned from looking at the success story section if this forum is no matter how big you are you can do it! Use every pound lost as motivation to fight the hunger!

At my start I was 205 so depending on your opinion, give or take 50 pounds over weight. I really enjoyed the biggest loser box set. I have since moved on too Ripped in 30 and a few bob harpers too but its a great way to start. It even has a dvd with ten min programs!

We went out for bbq two nights ago, I was fretting because it was day 6 and I hadn't lost my pound for the week, I had brisket, pulled pork, two ribs, and a couple sides....next day....lost a pound! Bbq rocks LOL

I make a big batch of Quinoa with herbs and a mix of EVOO and lemon juice. I portion it off into one cup servings and it keeps all week. Then at supper I make one extra of whatever protein we are eating, chicken salmon steak ect and ad it to my cold quinoa portion......delicious cold lunch on the go!

Sounds like you just need to find healthy alternatives. Water instead of pop, maybe some veggies instead of jerky.... I get 1520 calories and find I actually eat alot and am not hungry very often. It takes awhile to figure out what foods work for you and your appetite, look at some diaries, read some threads about snacks,…

When I first started I was set at 2 lbs a week sedentary which gave me 1260 calories a day. I was tired all the time so I changed to .1 lb a week and it bumped me to 1560 and I have way more energy now and don't feel crappy and tired all the time!

That strategy has helped me alot!. Especially if I know I'm going out to eat, I have it all planned before I go so I don't have to annoy my dinner date with checking the calories on everything before I order :)

If I have 100 cal to spare at the end of the night I sometimes have a Greek yogurt and honey smoothie bar, made by pc blue menu. It's delicous and creamy and hits the spot for only 100 cal!

I haven't been using it consistently enough to say if it got rid of any weight that's didn't come back, but it does still warm me up and make me sweat! Just splash some lemon juice on it after you cut it in half or cubes or however you eat it, it stays green a few days in the fridge like that!

Almost 28 but I feel like 30 is catching up quick! I'm in the middle of you two at 5'8 and have always felt doughy too LOL. Although when I look at old pictures I would love to go back to that. Anyway, I too am looking for a few friends, ad me if you like!

I just had my mirena taken out a few days ago. I only had it 8 weeks but it gave my gut wrenching cramps for every day of those weeks especially when I did core excersizes. Try on as many as you can and pick whatevers best for your feet! I tried every running shoe on in the store before I found one the was perfect, same when I bought hiking boots, they are all built a little different and everyone has different feet!
