  • Veggies are food too! I say count them! :) Plus then you can track other micronutrients as well! Veggies are loaded with 'em!
  • Me! I'm working on gaining a few more lbs of muscle on a plant based diet. Currently at 5'4" ~110lbs. :)
  • Fellow vegan here!! Feel free to add me! :)
  • Eating as much fruit and veggies as I care for is what helped me lose 50lbs. Just sayin, fruit isn't the enemy. ;) <3 And for the record I find it incredibly easy to stay slim as a vegan.
  • I'm a vegan! :) love adding new veggie friends! I lost over 50lbs and never looked back! My main sources of protein are things like: lentils, chickpeas, dark leafy greens, seeds/nuts, beans etc. I stick to the World Health Organization's recommendations and feel fabulous! In my experience, it's the quality of foods that…

  • I'm a vegan that aims for high carb/low fat overall - not exclusively raw or always healthy - I eat vegan cupcakes whenever I please - but I've lost over 50lbs this way and honestly I love it. <3
  • Yay! I love connecting with other vegans for support - anyone can add me as well! :) <3

  • I usually follow a raw til 4 style diet; high carb, low fat, mostly raw foods. :) Loving it so far - I stay energized and lean with minimal effort and I don't have to restrict my calories.
  • The best sources of vitamins and minerals are from fresh, whole foods. They are readily digestible and easier for the body to absorb in their perfectly designed packages of water, fibre and phytonutrients. Load up on the fruits and veggies and you should be good. :)
  • Today I'm having the water from 1 young thai coconut, a green juice & a big bowl of raw chocolate banana ice cream for breakfast. :)
  • Another veggie lover here! I'll add you! :)
  • I'm not saying I have the magic answer or anything, every body is different, but for me - when I was eating 1200 -1400 calories a day as a vegetarian trying to lose weight, it was awful. I went vegan (with a strong focus on low fat, raw foods) started increasing my calories and I lost weight easily. Now I focus on getting…
  • Oh absolutely! Veganism does not necessarily equal a clean diet. I know lots of chubby animal lovers too - and man I wish I could binge on some vegan cupcakes!!! lol. As I said, it's all about what you eat. ;)
  • I have quite a few fruitarian and raw vegan friends, most of whom are athletes in one regard or another. It's impressive as a diet and lifestyle - one guy I know has been eating raw for 34 years! Personally, I've experimented with a 100% raw food diet for 3 months and experience fabulous results - it was the kickstart to…
  • I was a fat, junk food eating, cheese loving vegetarian just a few years ago. When I cut out all animal products and went vegan (no dairy/eggs/honey as well as meat), I lost approx 50lbs, rid myself of asthma, anemia, and acne to name a few NSVs. I'm open to answering any specific questions, but I can absolutely say that…
  • If you're a complete beginner, then anything is better than nothing, and a 15 minute strength workout will absolutely benefit you. Especially if you're someone who can work at a high intensity for short periods of time, sometimes 15 or 20 minutes might be all you need. I typically do strength for 20-45 minutes, but every…
  • I love plants! <3 Eat green, eat clean! ;)
  • Love kale chips!! I make them in my dehydrator too but it's much quicker in the oven as mentioned above. I've also experimented with making swiss chard chips and they turned out pretty tasty - great way to eat a lot of the more bitter tasting greens. Also if you grind it down into a powder makes a nice seasoning and…
  • I'm vegan, lost approx 50lbs when I started cutting out animal products from my diet. I lost my acne, asthma and gained loads of energy. It might not be for everyone but eating a diet that focuses on raw, whole foods has worked wonders for me! :)
  • Smoothies and juices are great ways to sneak the more potent veggies into your diet. Salads with homemade dressings are another great way to get a lot of green into you - I love blending up some berries with lemon, ginger, cucumber and celery for a light healthy dressing. You could try some chilli recipes in a crockpot for…
