Hi, I would love to connect with friends who are vegetarian or vegan! Please feel free to add me!
What are your go-to foods for protein (besides eggs, I don't do eggs). I love different dahls and chickpeas, I also got this protein powder with all veggie based proteins (https://www.sproutliving.com/shop/epic-protein-chocolate-maca/).
Since I just started Insanity, I really feel I need to add more protein.

I've been a vegetarian my whole life, and I'm half Indian so I was raised on mung beans and kichiri haha...
I saw an Ayurvedic specialist who suggest that I cook with ghee also. I add a serving of beans (also great for a source of folic acid) to my meals as well.
Good luck!0 -
Nice! I wish I would have been so lucky to have been veggie from birth! And yesss kichiri is one of my favorites! Lately I've been cooking with coconut oil, but definitely ghee is super healthy too, I should make more!0

I'm a vegan! love adding new veggie friends! I lost over 50lbs and never looked back! My main sources of protein are things like: lentils, chickpeas, dark leafy greens, seeds/nuts, beans etc. I stick to the World Health Organization's recommendations and feel fabulous! In my experience, it's the quality of foods that matter more so than their exact macronutrient ratios. Keep at it - best of luck! Peace!0

Vegetarian here! I posted a blog about this some time ago and started having more lentils in my diet. Great source of protein. I have lentil chips and soups. Delicious.0

@bodyzen Yes! And wow it looks like you've had a beautiful transformation! Very inspiring (: It's definitely true, quality counts. And through MFP I can see how I can also over-eat even if it's good foods!0

I couldn't agree more carob chip. I was steadily gaining weight before joining and didn't know why. Haven't gained weight since joining.0

@AshleyCMoody I'd love to see your blog on that topic, and definitely I like to add yogurt to my diet as well. Raw milk too if I can find it!
I've used MFP on and off, and it definitely works, this time I am super determined about making this lifestyle permanent! (:0 -
