I'm hoping to get a treadmill! I was going to use it with my Wii too, but also I have recently got some new movies that the Mr won't want to watch! Hope it's working out for you.

they would melt here! I'm talking about ONE crate of 12 eggs between 4 people so shouldn't be too bad :) :) camping it going to complicate things a bit but it should be ok! Extra walking maybe :)

Yeah i seem to put on about 700grams each weekend, which I seem to have lost well and truly by Tuesday (salt?). Wednesday is my MFP weight in day, and overall now I have busted the plateau I seem to average 1/2 a kilo or more a week which is quite reasonable. The "high point" on the graph is usually lower each time than it…

Also: Fruit or fruit with yogurt or even a frozen yogurt stick will satisfy most sweet tooth cravings. I also buy the "grain waves" chips in single serve packets (only about 105 cal) to chow down on while watching tv, I feel like I had a *whole bag* or chips - coz I did -it was just a tiny bag! IF you're actually hungry…

Ask yourself whether it helps you reach your goals or not. On any given day the answer might be "no so i don't want to" or "no, but I don't care" - everytime it's just a choice. No willpower needed really, just logic. :)

me too. it becomes "oh i'm going out for dinner on saturday night and won't be able to track -so why bother tracking the rest of Saturday' etc etc etc - forgetting of course that even if I don't track dinner, just the very act of tracking the rest of my day will probably mean I consume less throughout the day. overall it…

wish I could help....bumping! Will keep an eye one this thread, be interested to see replies. in the meantime, best of luck!

Realising that 1) no matter how much weight you lose, you will never be a certain size due to bone structure and height so can't buy that item anyway 2) Realising that the clothes you thought you wanted to wear are actually too "young/skanky" for you now you're a bit older. I'm only turning 30 this year but as a…

Ok so I changed my cals to 1638 (my TDEE - 25%) that looks like a massive amount of food. OMNOMNOM.

At the scooby's workshop calc, that puts me at 1638 cals per day to lose 25 kg a year....I was hoping to lose a bit more than that - but that might put me at my goal....I just wanted to do it sooner than christmas....I was thinking more like June.....battling this same kilo for a month though...kind of stuck i guess

Thanks everyone. I've been to the calculators :) I'm putting in 30 mins moderate and 20 mins light exercise (I'm a SAHM) (shopping and cleaning mostly!) and leaving the rest as sitting. When I walk/ exercise I use the runtastic pedometer, so am brutally honest - it logs it all in my diary for me (Yay!). I do eat back most…

basically I have no idea LOL

Hi there! I'm about 10 years older than you and started at a similar size (I'm in Sydney). I started at a 22, which I still wear because <wait for it> I haven't found anything nice I can justify spending the money on, it's a bit of a resource here too! I love this site because it's free, the app is great and the support…

In Australia a cup is 250ml.....does that help? I'll be watching this thread too. thanks for starting it!

Well done! Inspiring - gives the rest of us hope!

I really love that you've been honest by wearing very similar clothes in each pic! Great job!

THIS. I'm still falling off the wagon repeatedly, your loss so far is great (Hi up there in Far NQ - I'm in Sydney) I have not worked out all the numbers referred to here, but don't let them scare you off. I go with the MFP guidelines - set to sedentary and 2lb (1kg) a week and then log all my exercise, and eat it back if…

Great point, thanks

Me either tbh but I was way over goal and I had time, energy and it was a pleasant evening so thought I would go for a walk (usually NOT my thing!) And staving yourself? Yeah-- NO!

Hot Chips are my weakness....hmm deep fried carb load FTW lol

THIS I stupidly weighed myself after a nasty bout of gastro a couple of weeks ago....it's taken 3 or 4 weeks to be at a similar weight loss rather than just water! Eat what you can manage. I was having carbs and cheese and stuff, but it helped and I started to feel better. Hope you do soon!

Hey - would love to be your MFP friend. Here almost every day :)
-
Oh, and also, Low GI is more "bang for your buck" nutritionally and helps with weight loss anyway coz you're not so hungry! Feel free to add me :)
-
I am similar to you OP. I will be 30 in June also :) I seem to have reversed my pre-diabetes (dr never said as much but I have not had high blood sugars or out of control for over a year, even if I eat crap) and the biggest help to me was MFP and Low GI. I don't eat Low GI much these days (too lazy) but i'm really trying…

This - I cannot remember weighing that and being healthy (not sick)
