My goals: theperfectratio-get to 160, complete 30DS, work my way up to running 3 miles every few days on the treadmill (not necessarily on C25K though) Update on how I did: I GOT TO 160!!!!!! :D :D :D I'm not done with 30DS and haven't gotten up to running 3 miles yet though...but I'm close on both ^_^

Oooh zig zagging! I've heard that's good for plateaus. How did you plan out your 'zig zags'? Did you use a website or did you just add up your weekly total (1500x7) and then stagger them?

Thanks for the reply! I don't think he can afford to go to a dietitian at this point (student loans are a doozy) but I'll suggest it to him. I'm thinking perhaps a bit of the issue might be that he has SUCH a set schedule. He eats almost the same thing every day and does the same general workout (biking).
-
Ahh, he actually isn't on MFP, his weight loss was all on his own via eating healthier and working out! When I linked him here, he decided not to make a MFP account since he already does his own calorie counting, but I'll see if he's open to setting one up just to see what macros/daily cals MFP recommends to him.

I have a really cute shirt made of really thin material ( you know, the kind that ~clings~ and shows any muffin top) that i bought a year ago and never wore unless it was under a sweater because of the material and how it revealed my tummy. Well, today I wore it for the first time by itself with a scarf and jeans and I got…

Totally in!!! I actually managed to lose 5 last month, despite not being an official member of the spreadsheet since I joined MFP halfway into the month. Now i'm back for OCT!!! Name/ real name: Tea Goal weight on October 31st: 155 (also, NSGoals - FINISH 30DS, run/bike 2-3 times a week) 10/01: 10/03: 10/10: 10/17: 10/24:…

Ditto here. 5 ft 7 in, and I felt overweight at 165. Even ignoring BMI, she can do an online body fat calculator to give her a general sense of how unhealthy she is. They aren't as accurate as if you're doing it w/a doctor using calipers, but they will still give her a good idea of how many lbs of body weight are actually…

Thanks for replying!! That's good to hear because somehow I ALWAYS go over my protein goal...and that's not even considering the protein shakes I used to drink after working out. For example, today I ate ~1200 calories...my recommended protein intake is 45g and I had 67g! That's just from a greek yogurt + fruit breakfast,…

I've been SO BAD. I started 30DS on the 1st but to date I've only done 2 days of the L2 videos :embarassed: :embarassed: The other days I've chickened out by saying I've already worked out (doing cardio/fitness class), or I've eaten a low amount of cals (~1200). I need to get motivated again!!! I'm starting again this week…

Thanks for the tips! I will start eating them back, since that seems to be the way to go...I just was worried about the whole eating-right-before-sleep and how it might effect the metabolism or whatever. I know nothing about nutrition/biology so I'm always a bit hesitant to do new things when it comes to that. Speaking of…

Thanks SO MUCH meagalayne! Grats on figuring out that oh-so-elusive 'intuitive eating' stuff...it's so much harder than it should be D: On another note, I went from 162-ish to 163.3 on the scale today and it was rather demoralizing (my last 163.X weigh in was at the beginning of the month). I've been working out, but I…

Has anyone who is doing the program noticed a lack of results when not doing the program on back to back days? I haven't done it in a few days but I've worked out in other ways (running, fitness boot camp) but I haven't lost a single inch around my waist since the program started. I have lost an inch around each thigh, but…

Hey, I'm a bit of a newb on these forums, and I looooked for a list of goals but the only one I found was in the OP so I didn't quote it. But nice to meet you all, hope it's alright if I jump in mid-month :embarassed: I'm 22 and 5ft7in. CW 161-162, UGW 135!

If you message me I can link you to 30 Day Shred for free online (just the videos)! Also you can get TurboFire/P90X/etc etc and do them at home. For turbofire all you need is a yoga mat, resistance band, and lower body band! 30 Day Shred requires just a yoga mat and 2 dumbbells. Super cheap and easy to store, and not much…

seriously...it's like backwards judging, stereotyping any serious lifters as 'lunkheads'. pleeeeaasssee. And free pizza? You've GOTTA question a gym that supports you eating pizza EVERY WEEK while trying to get fit. They clearly don't want people to COMPLETELY succeed at getting in shape for fear of losing customers. :|

HOLY **** We have the SAME measurements and almost the same weight (I'm 161-162) and same height. FRIENDS???? :D
-
Forgive my ignorance but...these aren't true? (assuming 'eating frequently' = 5-6 SMALL meals or snacks)
-
+1. Me too.
-
Ditto on evrything you said here...except I've already taken break days. The out of town thing is going to be HARD though because I'm staying at a friend's place and I won't be able to work out :\

LOL!!! I think the poster who mentioned 'ED' meant 'erectile dysfunction,' not 'eating disorder ;)

Checking in! Started 30DS on Sept 1st...missed yesterday & monday of level two because I joined a fitness boot camp class that met for an hour on Monday and then I was SO SORE I could barely walk yesterday. I'm not too worried though because I still worked out on Monday, and the boot camp was like 30 Day Shred but MUCH…

For some reason, depending on whether I use the elbow (2.2) or wrist (6.2) I'm either a small or large frame, respectively. This changes my ideal weights quite a bit o_o (124-136 vs 143-158). I'm going with small though because I'm at 161 right now and I can't imagine that losing 3 pounds would be my 'ideal weight' hahaha.

the fat2fit calculator is telling me to eat 2000-2250 calories per day if I exercise 1-3 or 3-5 days a week? That seems high...Am I just succumbing to the "eat less, weigh less" mentality? >_<
