Starvation Mode! Starvation Mode! Starvation Mode!!!!!!

    Um. Really? :noway:

If I'm going raw for a few days, getting over 1100 cals is impossible for my body needs.

When a fad diet tells you that you
    can't eat fruit
can't eat a certain kind of veggies
can't eat bread, even the whole wheat kind
can't eat fat, fat creates fat
and the best "you need to burn everything you eat, so eat 800 cals a day and run for 5 miles"

this might be my new favorite from the author of wheat belly

"In fact, given the choice of two slices of whole wheat bread or a Milky Way bar, I'd take the Milky Way bar."

ps i'd take the milky way bar too, but not because i think what products are worse then sugar

This from a "doctor" (who was overweight BTW)

Squats are bad for your knees.
Seated military presses are bad for you back.
Eating fast food will make you fat.

Now granted in some cases this can be the truth, but he was saying it DIRECTLY to me. Needless to say I have a new doctor.

1.) Dont eat after (something) PM or it all turns straight to fat.
2.) Never skip breakfast because it slows your metabolism
3.) Eat frequently to boost metabolism
4.) I just gained 3lbs of muscle last week!
    5.)Carbs are the enemy
6.) Women who wont lift heavy because they think the will look like a man. Because apparently as soon as you pick up that dumbbell you will turn into the hulk :p
    This....alllll this.

I actually DID bulk up like a man when I started lifting....

...but then we found out I had an androgen dysfunction.

Now I just do more reps at lower weight. Lol

I heard a woman say "I don't want to build muscle, I just want to tone up"

"i do not think it means what you think it means."

Forgive my ignorance but...these aren't true? (assuming 'eating frequently' = 5-6 SMALL meals or snacks)

Not really a myth but bad math... "muscle weighs more than fat." Uh no it doesn't. A pound is a pound.

Not sure myself if this is fact or fiction...don't weigh yourself after a shower because you will weigh more due to your body absorbing the water. I guess I believe it since I weigh in prior to a shower.

Actually, muscle does weigh more than fat. However, what you are referring to is "a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat". Yes, in that scenario a pound is a pound. However, muscle does weigh more than fat.
