  • What kick started mine was seeing a family member in a bikini 3 months after having a baby. She's so fortunate not to have stretch marks or anything. Even after all my weight loss, my stomach is still sagging like an empty bag.... but I won't give up!
  • My oldest daughter gets sick after eating a lot of rich sugary stuff. She'll also get sick to her stomach if she's too tired or too hot. I'm sort of this way but it's much more pronounced in my 3 year old. It probably has to do with what your body is used to handling.
  • Don't be ashamed. Don't beat yourself up. Every day is a new day to try again and do better. You can do it!
  • You should explain to him that when he says things like that it hurts your feelings and undermines your efforts. Men don't usually understand how much women weigh. Weight sits on our bodies differently than men. But also, forgive him after you've calmly explained how that makes you feel. People, not just men, say cruel…

  • cereal! I eat cereals with whole or multi grains like honey bunches of oats or cheerios. It's not too filling, low fat, low sugar, and satisfying. I also read somewhere that people who eat more cereal have lower body fat. But I try really hard not to snack at night. I always check my calories after dinner to be prepared,…
  • I need some motivation too. I'm 27 and mom of 2 ages 20 months and 3 yrs. I lost 20 lbs on here over a year ago and have been trying to get back in the groove since the spring as I have about 20 more to go. In the last month I've kicked my exercise up a couple of notches and really started paying attention to things like…
  • Try a fried egg with cheese on toast or an english muffin. It's a around 250 calories and it seems to fill me up til about 11 am every day. Anything loaded with protein and fiber will keep you feeling fuller longer and well energized. It also takes about 5 mins to make and is great for on the go! I eat one every morning in…
  • I actually ordered a Gold's Gym step for step aerobics that came with a routine on DVD that's pretty great. It does toning as well as cardio and you can easily adjust the routine to your level. I love it. The step and dvd came together... ordered it on walmart online for about 30 bucks.... did site to store.
  • Hi sweetie. Let me start out by saying that I don't know much about Jenny Craig except that it's supposed to be "convenient weight loss". Well, the bad news is that weight loss, healthy weight loss is not easy or convenient. I don't think it's good to be hungry. I don't think it's good to be hungry and discouraged. I…
  • Atlantique has the right idea. Make sure the packaging on the bread is "whole grain" and not "whole wheat". I get Nature's Own Whole Grain Sugar Free Bread. Two slices is 100 calories.
  • Awesome! Great job!
  • Rice cake with 2 tbspn of peanut butter... Cheerios with strawberries in milk...
  • NillaWafers is right. You can pretty much continue your regular exercises unless your OBGYN tells you otherwise (just no contact sports). Just listen to your body. Also, be sure to be taking prenatal vitamins, this will help with your energy levels and ensure that you and baby get adequate nutrition. Good luck and congrats!
  • We do a lot of spaghetti with any kind of noodle and mix some browned ground turkey into the sauce. Changing up the noodles can make it seem like an entirely different meal. Also noodles or rice with sautee'd chicken and veggies. The good thing about this is taht you can change up the veggies, whatever is in season. These…
  • I'm 5'2"!
  • Ben & Jerry's Dublin Mudslide. OMG. Soooooo tastey and sinful.
  • Yes, I breastfed both my girls, too. It's just like entering food in your food diary. Go to your food diary and search breastfeeding. And I used two different ones because I nursed and I pumped and it was more convenient for me that way. Good luck! And take it slow!

  • I finally fit into my 10's again. I'm wearing them this morning, though they're a tad loose. I used to wear an 8 at my peak of fitness when I was in college. But I'm gonna get there. And I'm going to wear all those nice slacks and pants I have from my pre-parenthood days. I'm already confident enough to wear shorts again.…
  • I'm so sorry you had a rough day. I took a look at your food diary to see if there was any extra advice I could offer. It looks like to me that you might be skipping meals and eating irregularly. And it looks like you don't eat a whole lot of leafy green vegetables or fruits. Staying under your calorie goal is one thing…

  • Tuna but add chopped up green pepper for crunch and fresh flavor... Mmmmmmm! I put my tuna salad on whole wheat.
  • I keep a jar of peanut butter in my cubby and some days I'll take a banana and two slices of bread and for lunch I make a peanut butter banana sandwich. Also, I like to grab sushi from the kroger that's half a block away, they have a stand that makes fresh and fairly affordable sushi every day. OR, the night before you can…
  • I'm5'2" and aiming for 130 right now. I read somehwere that for women my height 120-130 is a healthy weight range.
  • A tuna cake and broccoli. Had a big fatty lunch. Gotta take it easy. I'm gonna fix my toddler a nice peanut butter banana sandwich though.
  • I take a prenatal vitamin as well as an iron supplement. I'm a nursing mother and I'm trying to shed the marital/baby weight. These two help with my energy and ensure that my milk provides the nutrition my baby needs without robbing me of what I need. My doctor actually recommends that I take a prenatal vitamin for the…
  • I do something similar. I eat about every 3 hrs. but I don't count them 200 cals or less. I eat a healthy breakfast like a bowl of cheerios with some fruit and glass of milk. Then around 9 I have a snack of say.. yogurt or fruit or a spoonful of peanut butter. then I have lunch at 12 that's I guess normal lunch size (a…
  • I'm trying to lose baby weight! My youngest is 5 months old. I'm halfway to my goal! We can do this!

  • If I'm grilling I'll cut up a bunch of say... yellow squash and zucchini and a tab of olive oil (although I have used canola oil) and wrap it up in tin foil. Throw it on the grill and voila! It steams itself. Also, I eat a lot a broccoli from frozen. All you do is dump some frozen broccoli in a glass dish with a lid and…
  • 5'2" 149 (current weight) 26 years old 1270 daily calorie goal Goal weight 130 I've consistently lost 2ish lbs per week so far.
  • Keep your chin up, lil girl! You've been doing fantastic. Just remember that what you're working for is worth so much more than a bite of ice cream or a sip of soda. And the next time he taunts you with something you love, just walk away and don't say a word. Doing that shouldn't start a fight but it will show him you're…
