  • I have the exact same size family as you! And, we spend about exactly what you spend monthly! We rarely go out to eat so we can afford to buy super high quality local foods including pastured chickens, grass-fed beef, raw milk, etc. $8.00 a week on a gallon of raw milk sends our budget high! But, it is a bizarre culture…
  • I completely understand!! I am a stay-at-home-mom so it's not like I have a job to go to where people see me changing. It's so discouraging without recognition!! A couple friends and family have noticed so it's nice getting a little pat on the back.
  • I'm not sure if it was mentioned already but if you have a Netflix account, there are a few great workouts on there that you can stream instantly to your computer/TV. I love the Crunch series and the Self magazine workouts will whoop your butt!!
  • Under food diary type in "breastfeeding" and an option comes up. If the baby is under 6 months and all food is from nursing, you should add at the LEAST 500 calories each day. It enters it as a negative 500 to your daily caloric intake. As the baby eats less, you can lower it. Good luck!!
  • It took 2 weeks for me to see any numbers drop on the scale. I do pilates/cardio/fast paced walks/30 Day Shred. I vary my workouts to give my muscles some rest and to keep my body guessing.
  • Love this! I miss resting my chin on my hand and having a soft cushion there. Now my jawbone digs into my hand!

  • I try to push myself but if I am really not going to make it, I just modify. I'll walk on the treadmill or do a light workout on an elliptical for at least a 1/2 hour or more. Exercising helps with my cramps so I like to try to get at least something in even if it's way lighter than my normal workout.
  • I say go with some high fiber foods. You HAVE to pair them with a ton of water though or you'll be even more backed up. Fiber One bars, cereal or high fiber oatmeals are great options?
  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a huge transformation so far - you're going to tear up the town when you hit goal!!
  • Can you do sliced almonds? They are in the baking aisle and wouldn't do as much damage to your braces??
  • Maybe you could try a small reward for a 5 lb loss? Like a necklace or shoes or something? I don't like buying clothes when I'm losing weight because I want to buy new outfits when I'm closer to goal. I have been really motivated by reading the message boards (not success stories though). I find that success stories slow…
  • I eat a Fiber One bar immediately when I wake up and then around 10 I will have Weight Control Oatmeal. It is super filling and I find that on days when I don't eat the oatmeal, I get hungrier earlier on in the day.
  • Excellent!!! That is a major milestone. I still like to look up my BMI just to see that I'm out of obese range!! HA!!!
  • Watermelon is a major diuretic! I use it when I'm in my last month of pregnancy to hold off some of the swelling.
  • I have never seen the commercial for it, but my girlfriend said she paid $200 for it. We already have a treadmill so I can't justify the purchase :(
  • I recently hung out with a girlfriend of mine and she SWEARS by it!! She just does a little every day and she already is showing major improvements. If I had the money, I would buy it without a doubt. My friend has never worked out a day in her life and never played sports, but for whatever reason, she loves this thing and…
  • My sister and I have successfully dieted while breastfeeding but you definitely have to reach a higher caloric intake than others. So far, I'm on the right path. But, you're right - I'm going to talk to my midwife because I'm worried that my iron levels might be too low and that is why I'm getting dizzy. I am certain that…
  • I get light-headed every day now - I couldn't even function enough to imagine up a meal for dinner. My husband has to help me every night dream up something to eat. I get a lot of extra calories because I'm breastfeeding, but it is still difficult for me. I have been dieting for over a month now too!! I try to do…
  • When my sister was dating her husband, she asked him a series of questions. 1) Would you still love me if I gained a ton of weight? - YES 2) Would you still love me if I was burned in a terrible accident including my face? - YES 3) Would you still love me if I was in a terrible accident and became a quadrapeligic (sp?)? -…
  • I am a fiber junkie and easily triple my fiber recommendation. I recently read that if you do not couple fiber with enough daily water, you will get constipated. If you are drinking enough water each day, the fiber will be processed correctly by your body. http://www.faqs.org/nutrition/Erg-Foo/Fiber.html
  • Truly amazing!! And - I know how hard P90X is so fanstatic job!!!!
  • You can find info on a ton of different restaurants on www.dwlz.com! She has a link there for Restaurants and put nutrition information (and Weight Watcher points) for tons of favorites. I always check out the info before I go out to eat!
  • Love it!!! I have been unable to turn my attitude around if I blow it at any point during the day. I just may have to come back and re-read this post to get inspiration!!!
