  • Hubby and I attend the gym twice a week together. We have our own weight training program that he ( not the gym) organised .... I hate upper body strength training..... or at least I did when we first started..... now Im seeing progress It's kinda cool. I get there after work and do some carido on the treadmill while I…

  • I think I'll be making at least one of these this weekend.... sounds great
  • For health reasons I HAVE to eat "clean". If I don't I'm gonna die..... that seems enough motivation for me to change my eating habits.
  • I recently made a low carb meatloaf for dinner and Hubby and I took the left overs for lunch the next day. 500g minced beef 1 cup of Pork rind crackers ( crushed, this takes place of bread crumbs) 1/3 diced capsicum 1 small diced onion 1 grated carrot 1 clove of garlic 1 egg to bind 1/3 cup or tomato / BBQ sauce salt /…

  • :) thanks for the great ideas for our UK visit.
  • Great isn't it. It wont always come off that quickly.... your body is getting rid of the excess fluid now your not eating all those carbs. Use it as a great incentive to remain focused on what you eat. Job well done.
  • Hi, I've been Low Carbing since mid May, before that I was just doing the slow low calorie method. I still have my good and bad days.... oh, and I'm not doing induction........ just keeping (or trying to keep) between 35 - 50 carbs. Feel free to check my diary. I think it helps to get meal ideas from other people. Cheers…
  • In Australia these are marketed as SlimPasta / Slim Rice. There is about 4 different varieties all made from the same thing. (Konjac). I have seen them for sale in Coles and Woolworths supermarkets in Victoria. Personnally, I don't like the smell.... yes, I do rinse them well. The texture is meh also.... although I might…
  • I too look at both cals and carbs. I try to keep my carb limit between 30 - 50 carbs and have lost 22 pounds since the start of February. Only this last 8 weeks have I been on low carb though. The previous weeks were low cal diet. I have set my calorie limit at 1420, more on exercise days. I am avoiding Breads, pastas,…
  • That Slim Pasta products. Made from Konjac ( a vegetable). Sure they are low in carbs and mimic the appearance of spaghetti / rice but the smell is horrible and the texture makes me ill.
  • I want an 80cm or less waist.
  • I juice mostly vegetables with a bit of fruit. You get nice clean liquids, no / not much pulp. Thats how I like it. I've done the blender thing too... ok for fruit smoothies but not the same for vegetables. They get all gritty and pulpy. Not nice to drink. But to each their own. I have known people to use the leftover pulp…
  • Depending on what type of scales you are using, try weigh yourself first then you and the cat together, then deduct your weight from that of the two of you. What you are left with is the cats weight.
  • I do this as part of the Body For LIfe program. I find it works well for me as I can indulge any cravings on the Sunday if I feel I need to. But after successfully losing weight for the last 8 weeks, I find I don't really want to indulge too much and spoil the effort I have put in. Plus, too much food after reduced…

  • I think that if she was a real friend she would have been happy for you. Why cant people see things for what they are... you are excited at your achievements and wanted to share that with people ( your friends). If she cant handle that... good riddance.
  • Nope, I'm from Melbourne Australia. ( Originally from Scotland)
  • I give myself one day a week where i can eat anything I want Im told if I stick to too strict a diet my body will start hoarding. So to confuse it, I use that one free day to eat what I want then get back on track for the rest of the week. But usually I just have a small taste of things I might crave during the week.…
  • I have found that I can spice up a boring salad or some cottage cheese by adding some store bought salsa.... you know.... the ones you used to dip your doritos into. Cheap and low cal. It sucks that unhealthy food is so cheap to buy.... you can get a bag of chips for $2 but cant buy a lettuce for under $4. Stick with it…
