I use the Polar FT7, its a HRM. It works great for me and seems to be very accurate. I use the Polar personal trainer program in conjunction with MFP.

I do Tap Out XT2 and use a heart monitor / calorie counter, I record my training sessions under cardio (Calisthenics)and just enter my time and calories burned. I hope that helps you.

Both are great work outs but i prefer Tap Out XT and XT2 for me it was a better mix of strength and cardio. Check them out as well. Remember anything that can get you off the couch and moving is usually pretty good. What ever you choose good luck!

Agreed and for even more accurate information you may want to get a heart rate monitor to record a more accurate calorie count. Just something to use while you are working out. I have found that MFP seriously over estimates calorie burn as it is base on the general population and not you personally.

I have done 2 rounds of Tap Out XT and I am now on my first round of Tap Out XT2. I log them as Calisthenics (pushups, sit-ups), vigorous effort,. I am also using a Polar FT7 HRM to be more accurate with my calorie burns.
