  • Yep ^ I also gained weight with Insanity, but dropped inches
  • You're welcome :) Good luck with Insanity. I thought I was pretty fit and strong already, but it still kicked my butt (in a good way of course - a love/hate thing)
  • I've just finished Insanity, and did it straight after finished T25 (right through to Gamma). I know everyone will be different, but for me, Insanity actually improved my muscle definition, as well as my strength. Yes there is a lot of cardio in Insanity, but also a bit of strength work (on the floor plank styles) using…
  • Wow! Just wow.
  • Yep, I'm on week 2 tomorrow. Not looking forward to the pyramid again, that was a bit brutal haha And all the floor work in Speed 3.0 - my poor abs were cursing me the next day!
  • Well done!! I've done the first week of gamma, and I've already noticed a bit more definition after just a week. Definitely gives you the boost to keep going huh? I've really enjoyed T25, its hard work but loads of fun too
  • I'm still going :) On my last week of Beta now. I have 3 more workouts to go, oh 4 if you count the double Friday, and then its onto Gamma! I'm stoked that I've kept up with it, and I'm really enjoying it still.
  • I am so looking forward to Beta! I had a quick watch of the workouts last week to see what it coming, and for most of them I was like "Ohh yeah, I can do that" (a couple of things made me go Oooooh that looks tough...). It does look more intense but also looks like it just builds on what we have been doing and tweaks it a…
  • Well done! That's an awesome achievement!

  • Double day Friday of week 4 done! Abs and Speed. Still not loving the abs workout... I've been really pushing myself this week, and am feeling great. Hopefully things carry on like this for the last week of Alpha :)
  • I had a bit of a blow out too for my birthday (P.S. Happy birthday, birthday buddy!!) with pizza. But I knew I would and although I ate more than I should have, I'm back to behaving today. I think the important thing is to recognise why we ate the way we did, not dwell on it and carry on as we have been. I know for me, I'm…
  • Exactly! For all the times the scales hasn't moved, my measurements have changed. And I can see the changes in my body, which is such motivation! It's nice to have the scales agreeing with measurements or how my clothes are fitting, but I know that my body and how it looks and feels is a better indication of what is going…
  • Lower focus for me yesterday. I have realised that I hate it lol I thought it was abs I didn't like, but no, definitely lower focus. it just kills my legs! Which is obviously the point, it means its doing something, but wow! Cardio today!
  • I'm on week 3 day 3 today. I'm not sure if its the program that has helped me drop that weight or if I was just due to anyway. I seem to sit at one weight for a couple of weeks and then drop a bunch at once. It will be interesting to see how it compares after Alpha has finished.
  • I'm not following it, just eating at a deficit on here, and I've lost almost 5lbs (had to convert from kg haha!) since we started.
  • I just did Lower Focus and Ab Intervals back to back for double Friday. I thought last Friday was tough, today was much worse. I don't like doing those 2 together. But, I did better in the abs one than last time, even after doing the lower focus first, so that's a good sign.
  • It makes a huge difference having one I think. Not just for accuracy, but I find it spurs me on a bit too.
  • I haven't weighed in or taken measurements yet (tomorrow!) but something must be happening, as I went shopping yesterday for something to wear to my next interview on Monday and everything I bought was down a dress size!!! It's amazing how different my body looks in something that fits properly. I hadn't really noticed how…
  • savoy815: the burnouts kick my butt! I groan we he says its time for the burnout lol But it does make me push myself harder, which is obviously the point. Good idea with your check system, I'm sure you will have a 10 in no time DJ478: Welcome aboard! Keep checking in and let us know how you are finding it. The first week…
  • Best. Show. Ever.
  • savoy815: Thank you. It did!! The interview was at 10:30am and I got a phone call just after 5pm asking me to come in on Monday for another interview, but this time with the BIG audit partners. I nearly died! lol I had just started my workout (Speed), and 5 minutes in got that phone call, went back to the workout and was…
  • I did TBC yesterday, not great with a cough but I pushed through and although I was a sweaty mess afterwards, I felt great. Today is Speed 1.0 for me, I'm hoping my coordination will be better this time. Normally I would be working out about now, but I have a huge job interview in a few hours and need to keep my head…
  • Pigeons! Not cool lol It was nice to do the stretches after this mornings cardio, I ended up doing them back to back. I'm not sure if my legs were an 'S' like he wanted though... Something to work on this week I guess
  • I didn't do the stretch yesterday, my daughter so lovingly gave me her sore throat and cough so I was just too tired to do anything. But I'm feeling more human again this morning, so I'll do today's workout and do the stretch at some point during the day too to keep on track.
  • I log it, but I don't count it towards my water intake. So I guess in that sense, it would be "neutral". To me, coffee is separate from any water I might drink.
  • Woo hoo! That's a victory right there :D
  • YES!! This was me too, a trembling swearing V lol I can certainly feel it this morning.
  • I have a Polar FT4 as well, I got it the other day so have only used it for Total Body Circuit and Ab Intervals so far. Mine were 346 for TBC and 261 for abs (I really pushed myself during the cardio stuff). I'm 32, female, 180 pounds and 5'7" so that obviously impacts my numbers, plus as well how hard you go at it.
  • Some plank work, some 'V' holds, a bit of cardio stuff. Nothing too complicated, but just stuff that takes a lot of "focus"

  • I've done the 30ds and got good results. The only thing I didn't like about it was doing the same thing everyday for 10days. By about the 4th or 5th day I was getting bored, which de-motivated me. I started RI30 straight after, and did the first 2 weeks of it, but struck the same issue with getting bored. So I've started…
