I planned on buying it but my boyfriend unexpectantly gave me P90X today as my Vday gift. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts or experiences on this. I still might purchasse it in the future.

Interesting thread. I am actually going through the same thing mentally. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully my mind will eventually catch up with my body. Great job on your weight loss !

Because of my busy schedule, I have to do a little bit of everything depending on what my day is like. Im currently doing INSANITY a day or two a week, mixed with jogs/walks and sometimes Yoga via the internet. I agree with the person above who encouraged you to listen to music while walking. It really does help. I load up…

Good topic. Going to bump for later. I would love to read some responses for encouragement.

I say do the P90X Program using your 8 pound weights. After 90 days you will see great results! I have not tried it, but I do have friends that have used it. All did not follow the diet plan exactly, however they did increase their daily protein intake. I plan on doing it after I get closer to my goal weight. Currently…

I don't log my work activity. Only when Im actually breaking a sweat with a elevated Heart Rate which I monitor using my Polar FT4

I am currently doing INSANITY! The first month you burn approx 300-500 calories in 45 minutes. The Second Month you burn approx. 700-800 calories in an hour. When I do run, I can tell that I can run longer without getting out of breath or getting tired. Tonight I did a quick mile run and I noticed that I was singing out…

You could possibly log it as circuit training. Honestly, I would INVEST in a Heart Rate Monitor. I have the Polar FT4. It has made a huge impact on my weight loss. Amazon sells them for about $60.00. Good Luck to you with Insanity. Im actually in the Recovery Phase. Looking forward to starting Month 2!

Yes. It works! Im am starting week 4 and since Ive started I have dropped two pants size, 4% Body fat and my endurance has gone through the roof. I cant do every exercise perfectly but I do my best. Ive gotten these results minus the diet plan. So I am sure if I were to follow the diet plan, I would have much better…

I have PCOS. Took Metformin for 6 months then decided to get off the medications(too rough on my tummy) and decided to try to lose the weight with just diet and exercise. My diet is a lot better than it was a little over a year ago but it is still not perfect. I plan on stepping it up some in 2013. Feel free to add me.

Im 34 years old and I agree with the other two ladies, Leslie Sansone Dvd's are good and effective. I used them when I first began my weight loss journey. Check with your library. They usually have a few if you want to give them a try first before buying. Best wishes to you !

Bumpity Bump!

Didn't know it included a "modified" version. That's very encouraging to hear. Quick clarification on equipment. I can use resistance bands in place of the pull up bar? Am I correct?

Feel free to add me. Im also a solo parent :)

Thanks!

Wow! Awesome job! You look so much younger and bright eyed. Yay! for you!

You can do one of two things. You can shoot for 4 minutes which is a minute more or you can find a new exercise DVD until you build your stamina. After years of not exercising at all, I started out with Leslie Sansone. She kinda corny, but her DVD's work. Good Luck to you !

Okay, now she's my new inspiration too ! lol!

You guys are awesome. Thanks! And thanks to you Neverstray, I appreciate your manly input. Lol!

Im actually too busy to go into detail right now but I completely understand your pain. I am a single parent. Working two jobs, in school full-time and balancing all the extracurricular activities of my son. It CAN be done but YOU really have to get creative. Feel free to add me. Fyi, my days start at 4:45 a.m. and end at…
