  • You are not alone. I also wonder the same thing but however I look, I know I will be happier and proud of myself for this achievement. I have sleep apnea and suffer from diabetes type 2, so im hoping that at my ideal weight, that I will have much less health issues and a much happier life. :)
  • I mostly just plan but i should start planning per month on what I would like to achieve. So here it goes... Finally get out of the 230s i seemed to have plateaued so i need to get out of it Get down to 225-226 Exercise 5-6 days a week and get plenty of needed rest Eat less processed foods and cook more fresh meals Be…
  • I understand you dude. Its a part of the process. Do what you can to focus on you. Focus on your career, life goals, and the right woman will come along. Trust me, you definitely dont wanna end up with just anyone and then you are unhappy. Spend time finding yourself and figure out what you like. Go to those type of…
  • Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a few more weeks with this new change and then adjust my calories afterwards. Appreciate it.
  • Thanks I was just about to say the same to you. I just want to figure out what works and make it happen so I can achieve my goals. Hopefully we can get the answers that we are seeking. People make it seem like its so easy to understand however its just not clicking for me for one reason or another...
  • Everyone has explained it over and over...so im a bit ashamed to say that im still confused. I started dropping weight and then i found out that I should be no less than my BMR which MFP says 2400 and other places roughly 2100. If you could just run down what was successful for you in regards to this...that would be great.…
  • Being overweight can definitely bring about these emotions but I'm glad that through help you were able to begin conquering your issues and move forward. You also did it while keeping your life and for that I give you props. It takes a real man let alone person to be able to understand that they need help, get it, and move…
  • I know how you feel. I joined a gym because it forces me to get off my butt and go exercise. that and they have equipment that i dont have at home. The way that I get around this is always wearing headphones. IF i can stay focused on my exercises and music, then i dont have time to focus on others. I havent started running…

  • I use crystal light. I mostly drink water all day even with meals. so with meals, i add a crystal light. Works out great. I still get my water consumption and something that tastes pretty great.
  • You're doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work.

  • thank you all for the information. Yes i believe the midnight to midnight will work better for me and will be the less complicated option as well. Its only for a month at the moment, may go longer im not sure but im happy that im not letting this change cause me to sink back into old habits. Thanks again
  • Like a lot of people here, and yourself, I just recently got married as well :) Congratulations! What motivates me is that my wife is very fit, and i also have health issues. I also have a stepdaughter and i want to be fit and healthy for my new family to make sure that I can live a long healthy life with them. I have…
  • You can definitely do it. Its just a matter of doing the math or really letting my fitness pal do the math for you. Figuring out how many calories you should eat to lose the necessary amount a week and staying disciplined will allow you to achieve this goal. I'm kinda in a similar situation where i'd love to lose 40 pounds…
  • Hello welcome welcome. Basically just get started filling out your profile, it will walk you through setting your goals and daily calories. Feel free to add friends and enjoy the forum. Lot of useful information here, and a lot of success stories as well. Again, welcome.
  • I agree with everyone here. It happened for a reason cus you certainly dont need someone like that as a friend or in your circle here. Not everyone is meant to be friended anyway so count it all joy and keep it moving because you have your goal and no one can take that away from you :)
  • Thank you Ill definitely take you up on that offer. Good to have like minded individuals trying to achieve the same goal. Yes as I have really gotten serious about counting calories, it was a bit depressing at first lols had to give up some favorite foods or just eat them healthier but im not looking back. Only moving…

  • Thank you all for the advice. I really appreciate it. I think that I'll try the midnight to midnight approach as when I get off work, i'll more than likely work out before I go to bed roughly around noon. Then ill wake up between 7 and 8 and have something then before i go to work, then start over while im here. Gotta love…
  • Thanks for this information I never actually knew this. Like another member said, you can actually update your profile and it will do the math for you so that you can reach 2 pounds a week. But you may need to up your exercise maybe another day or so or what you are doing for an extended amount of time. Its your goal so go…
  • Thanks. That it what i was thinking as well. It will only be for a month but of course its changing how I do everything. I appreciate it.
  • I weigh myself once a week. I've heard that some people do it twice but I rather do it once so i dont have to focus on looking at the scale. I can focus on maintaining my diet and exercise and then make necessary changes from there.
