  • Well, let's see. I tell people about the workout I did that morning. What my next goal is. How long I've been stuck at this weight, but that's ok, because at least I'm not gaining. I workout M/W/TH with a trainer at 530. I add M/F evenings in the pool with a friend. I'm training for a half marathon which adds Tuesday and…
  • I started by paying for a TEAM class at the Lifetime. Because I'm paying for it, I will go. I added two workouts a week with my best friend, in the pool. Then added another two workouts a week by myself (all cardio). That was about a year ago. The hardest part is getting up at 430 to get out the door to do it. Once I get…
  • There were cookies in the breakroom yesterday. I skipped them. Told myself if the sourdough bread was still there at lunch, I could have some. At lunch, there were also leftover pasta salads, and sandwiches, which I skipped. I did have my bread and butter, but only a little. In the past, I'd have had 3-4 pieces; only had…
  • Find a friend to go with you. Find an activity that you crave. My best friend and I spend about 45 minutes on Monday and Friday doing aqua aerobics (no class, just the two of us doing a good workout) and talking. It's our "us" time. And it really helps.
  • You could also check out http://www.kttape.com/ . I've been using it for shin splints and I know someone else who uses it for her wrist a lot. It really does help. They have videos on their site for how to tape (taping patterns, etc). The Pro is more expensive, but it stays on a week, even while swimming.
  • In the same boat... wondering if increasing will help me too. Mine might also be related to anti-depressants too... hard to say though.

  • Eggs Hard boiled eggs Chicken Carrots (not baby) 1% milk.
  • Cheer!
  • I've taken to cooking a lot of chicken breasts, cut up into about 4 oz portions, baking them portioning them out into meals. I freeze a lot of it, because I"m buying about 8 pounds at a time at Sam's Club. I then weekly roast my vegetable choice for the week (broccoli, cauliflower, whatever) and add that to the portioning.…
  • I hear ya! We did a cruise a few years ago and my goal was to not gain any weight. That meant treadmill every morning and lots of other walking. This year we're going to Hawaii again and I know I'll spend time swimming (oceans rock), but will probably have to find another way to keep myself trim. I know we'll be eating out…

  • Can you hypnotize me to hate chocolate? If I hated chocolate, this weight loss thing would be a lot easier. :)
  • Rock ON!

  • Since I hate having my picture taken, there are very few "before" pics of me. I do have a couple from Hawaii that show how big I was. And one other one that shows how much more flabby my arms used to be... But it's a conscious effort to see the difference.
  • http://www.food.com/recipe/peanut-butter-vegetable-soup-410140 is one of my favorites and it's quick. There's a really good cabbage one from a detox I did, also pretty simple, but unfortunately, I don't have a website.
  • If you're concerned, switch to tea or water? There are lots of teas that taste pretty good, and even have the caffeine you might like. I like Good Earth Original. It's good as iced tea as well (for summer).
  • I have a friend that used to regularly buy my Larges. When I was an XXL. I should dig out those shirts now, I think I can wear them now.
  • That's totally amazing!

  • I've been at a plateau for 3 months (well, lost 5 pounds). My husband has been at the same 25 pounds since he started his weight loss journey a year ago (lost the weight fast then stopped. It's all been very disheartening. Especially when people tell me I look good and don't need to lose more (I have lost half the weight I…
  • Feels good being noticed doesn't it :)
  • That's great! It' nice to take pants off without undoing them... but then you have to add a belt so they don't fall off at inconvenient times :)

  • That's frelling awesome.
  • Supposedly B12 will help with energy/boosting metabolism. Chromium helps with burning carbs and carb cravings. Cinnamon is supposed to help with carb metabolism too.
  • Sugar is so sweet and tasty! I'm almost done with my 1 week detox (no sugar, no caffeine, no wheat and no dairy) and the only thing I miss is the sugar. I have a bag of Lindor's truffles waiting for me, and some fudge in the freezer. I'm going to have to be good when I'm done detoxing though, or the weight I lost will just…
  • Ketchup, Brussel Sprouts and Lima beans.
  • I'm not addicted, yet. I go almost every day - have been taking Fridays off due to having too much to do. But I go twice on Monday (once to my fitness class and once to do a pool workout with my friend). Tuesday, swim. W/Th class, Friday (usually pool workout), Saturday walk the dog at a minimum, go for a run otherwise.…
  • I like 1/2 cup milk (almond, cows), 1/2 cup plain, nonfat yogurt, 1-2 tablespoons natural (unsweetened) peanut butter, and a scoop of Lifetime Whey protein, chocolate or vanilla. I have also used 1/2 cup frozen fruit instead of the peanut butter.
  • Actually, Diet Coke is based on the formula for New Coke...
