It's a book - "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" by Lou Schuler. He has a version for men, too.

I do it 3 days a week, but it can be done in less days per week, it will just take longer for each stage. I do Mon, Wed, Fri with weekends off. Sometimes I will do a little cardio on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Tues, Fri, Sunday would be just fine - as long as you have at least a day in between to rest, you are good to go!!

Yes it's a different position...but my thighs are an inch smaller around.

Thank you!! Victoria's Secret

OK here it is! The link is open to anyone, so feel free to share it. I found this online, but made a lot of modifications, and it is VERY easy to use....enjoy! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmBawuhJvld5dFBNQnRfMUNtU3F4TXc4YmdpWWQyRnc *Make sure you do "print preview" before you print, to make sure that…

I didn't take the book with me, but I came across a wonderful spreadsheet online that you can fill in yourself. I bring that with me. The book shows photos of all the exercises, so you will know how to do them before you get there. I am honestly not sure what a personal trainer would do, sometimes I feel like they have…

I LOVE the prone jacknifes!!!!! They are probably my favorite exercise in Stage 1! It's like you can really feel them working as you're doing them!
-
Thank you!!! I do know people who do this workout at home. You'd really need a cable machine (for the lat pulldowns, seated rows, etc), weight bench with barbells & dumbells, and a swiss ball, none of which I have at home! It can be done, though!!

Bahahaha that is a hilarious metaphor!!! (thank you for the compliment, and the laugh lol)
-
Me???? Haha...how about those arms of yours - nice!!!!
-
Agreed!!! The most fit women I see at the gym are the ones working out over in the free weight area with the guys! lol. I am so happy to be one of them, now! Best decision I've ever made, in terms of working out!

Thank you  I was doing 1200 calories a day up until I started this program. In the book. he urges you to eat more, especially on lifting days. I now do 1620/1920 (non-lifting/lifting). I generally eat pretty healthy, but I still have my red wine and an occasional treat when I want to. I don't always log my exercise…

Thank you, guys - I do want to say that I had already lost some weight around my mid-section prior to starting NROLFW, but I am definitely more muscular and can feel (and see) everything getting tighter and I have definitely gotten stronger in these few short weeks!

Albany, NY here! (well the country, just outside Albany)

Plain Greek yogurt 1/2 cucumber, cut into small pieces Dill Black pepper Garlic powder Lemon juice Salt (if you want, I don't use it) Not only is it great with veggies, I use it on my chicken and fish, too!

I lift as heavy as I can so that when I get to the 12th or 15th rep, I can still do it, but one more might be difficult to do with good form. Squats I usually put 15lb on each side of the bar, seated rows and lat pull-downs I do 70lb, deadlift 50lb. I am doing "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" routine, Stage 1, and I…

I just saw them last weekend in NJ and am going to see them a few times this summer. It's not stupid how excited you are, it will be an amazing show, full of energy - and sexiness!!! I don't think you're silly at all, I have a tank top that says "Mrs. Jason Aldean" - now THAT's silly! What can I say, I love that…

I LOVE anything coconut, and thought I'd love the water, but I hated it!!!! I only tried the Vita Coco brand, so I can't speak for the others. Maybe the flavored ones are better, but they have too much sugar for my taste. On another note, I LOVE Coconut MILK! The Almond milk with coconut is amazing, too!

I was curious of that too, actually. I know he says the rest periods are set that way for a reason, but I would imagine, if anything, just make sure you take AT LEAST as long as he says, not less time. Luckily at the time I go to the gym it's really quiet, but I'm sure once my schedule changes, that will happen to me. I…

Single...by choice, but ready (I think) to settle down!!! Having fun though!

I was going to say love until I read this. I know "money can't buy happiness," but there are limits to how strong a relationship can be when there are money problems...like it or not, money is a big part of life.

Aww hehe. Do I sense a facetious tone there? I am really not trying to sound THAT picky....I do of course want a guy who is capable of sensitivity...but at the same time I want a MAN. He can like rabbits...but this guy likes them enough to showcase them in 1 of his only 2 photos to represent who he is to the…

Just got an email from a guy...go to his profile...he has 2 photos. One where he is making a goofy smile and cuddling a bunny rabbit, and the other is of 2 rabbits in a cage, with the caption "SugarMuffin & Patches!!"

These are the types of people that match.com think I am compatible with - my daily match (exerpt from his profile): "I grew up a little rough and made some bad choices. I had a full scholarship to play basketball out of high school and did not take advantage of it. But growing up the way i did and making the choices I have…

Good!!! Hehe...if you have any questions feel free to message me. I am getting the grasp of it, but when I read it in the book and saw his blank sheets, I was definitely just as confused!!!!
