  • I think its going to be hard for you to lose too much weight since you are already at a healthy weight for your hight. I would focus more on toning exercises if you want to change your body rather than worry about calories and weight loss.
  • It is interesting seeing what people have cut our of there diets. I still eat lots of those things, especially cheese. Cheese sticks are one of my favorite snacks. It is all in moderation! I do however eat a lot less ice cream and fast food!
  • Jogging burns calories faster but you burn about the same amount per mile. I have heard that doing short spurts of jogging in your walking workout is great for fat burning. It's supposed to boost your ,etabolism.
  • I would start a horse rescue and a theraputic riding program at no cost to the students.
  • Let it go. Stressing about it will only make it worse. As long as it doesnt become a habbit, you should be fine!
  • Hmmm. Generally you should see some weight loss within the first week or so. Perhaps you should check into the types of foods you are eating. Also if you are burning alot of calories during exercise you want to make sure you are eating more that the 1200 calories. You will lose weight faster if your body has enough…
  • the most important thing would be just doing the cardio to burn the fat. Doing pilatis or yoga or other core strength training will def help firm up your abs.
  • So true. I love that you posted this. That is why people need to realize this site is a guideline..not a law! Every calorie we eat is going to be processed differently so they really cannot all be counted exactly the same.
  • The fastest way to quickly shed the fat is to cut the carbs! Eat mostly high protein lean meats, veggies and some fruit and the fat will melt off. As soon as you ad the carbs again you have to do it slowly as not to gain it all back. It may not be the healthiest, but its quick!
  • The calorie burned estimates are entered by other MFP members and may not be accurate for you. You should use a calorie burned calculator and enter your information so it is more accurate.
  • I am sure it is an error on there part. I would have it checked by a dr if you are worried about it.
  • It sounds like you might be over doing it. Make sure you are eating enough to keep up. In your case, I would definately eat back some of my calories. Make sure you net calories (calories consumed-exercise calories= net calories) do not go below 1200. Great job getting moving! i am sure you will do great with this program.
  • That is awesome! I cannot wait for the my day to come!
  • I was going to say the same thing. That is the only bread I buy now and it is so good.
  • If you don't indulge once in a while you will torture yourself causing more stress wich holds on to more fat! I say go for it and be good the rest of the week!
  • Amen! Why can't we all just help each other be healthy. This posted as an informational link that someone thought might be helpful information. Im sure it was not meant to start a fight.
  • Popcorn is a great snack. I get hungry at night too. I try to keep a few calories for an evening snack. i like cheese sticks, popcorn, cheese and crackers. All pretty low calorie and very satisfying. I agree with everyone on the pills. They usually are not very helpful or very good for you. You can do it!
  • I think it is worth it if you need that strict of a diet and exercise plan. I did a free trial and knew pretty quick I wasnt going to stick to very closely. You can learn a lot of great info if you get a free trial. I recomend checking it out. You can also get a lot of great info and meal ideas from her cookbooks.
  • You lost it once, you can do it again! Everybody gains some back sometimes. you will be fine, just get back on track and it will be gone in no time.

  • How on earth did you burn 700 calories on Wii fit? I never get past a couple hundred.
  • I am right there with you! Sweets are my big downfall too. I chew a lot of gum and sometimes that works. If I really need a sugar fix, I will try yogurt,( or even go-gurt that comes in tubes and you can freeze them). I have a 3yr old so I often have jello cups around too, again, sometimes they work. My biggest problem is…
  • I agree with the calories being very high for those of us that are over weight. I got this from Jillian Michaels newsletter so I asume she knows what she is talking about. I know I wouldnt eat as many as I should according to this idea either. I do think is a good thing for people to see who are trying to starve themselves…
  • I would probably ask your dr or a physical therapist. You can try doing pilates. It is no impact. It is all slow, core muscle building movements. It is not cardio, but it burns a grat deal of calories while building muscle that will help boost your metabolism.
  • You can add carbs to you settings so MFP will count them for you and tell you how many you should be eating. You generally dont want to drop below 135 a day. I have a condition that is setting me up to be diabetic and I read that 30 carbs per meal and three 15 carb snacks a day is what a diabetic should eat so I try to…

  • I agree that it is really unhealthy. You will lose weight fast but you will also be losing lean muscle mass witch helps boost your metabolism. As soon as you stop restricting yourself you gain weight fast and have a slower metabolism. If you stay on it too long you will start having other health problems similar to someone…
  • I think that is what a lot of people are having a problem with--not eating enough. It is not good for your body to eat too little. It can drastically slow your metabolism causing you to lose weight slower. According to most things I have read, not just on MFP, you should never go below 1200 cal a day on a regular basis.
  • I always heard they dont do much more than sweat out water weight. I think I might have to look into them since you all are having some success.
  • You should check out pilates too. It is great for full body strength training withough the weight lifting.
  • I snack alot too but I try to count every bite. I eat fairly small, low calorie meals most of the time so I can have enough room in my calories for my snacks.
  • You do the first level until you feel it is easy enough that you need more of a challenge. There is no set time limit on how long to do each one.
