  • I wear a Polar F6 heart monitor during strength training and will burn on average about 400-450 per hour and sometimes a little more depending on the intensity. Good luck and keep up the good work!
  • Thanks. I'm always looking for other ways to fix it.

  • Do you have a shoe store near by that specializes in running shoes? You can discuss your concerns with them, they can look at your foot type and then recommend the shoe best suited for your type of foot to help correct the problems. I used to have the same problem but after changing shoe types and going to a 1/2 larger…
  • It's an individual preference and depending on temperature. Usually if I'm out for more than 45-60 minutes I will take water or on warmer days for shorter amounts of time. We have a couple of ways we take water with us -- a fuel belt which has places to put water containers and we have also carried water in a small…
  • runnersworld.com always has good information and stretches for runners. Check them out.

  • Training for 1/2 Marathon in OKC at the end of April -- ran 5 this morning on treadmill. Seems a lot longer run when running inside v. outside. Yesterday's run went by in no time. Great start to a great day. Enjoy.
  • I have the polar f6 and love it. Wear it everytime I workout whether it's strength training, running or riding a bike. I love knowing how many calories I burned, percentage of fat, and also my average and high heart rates. On some things it gives a higher calorie count than MFP but on other things it runs pretty close to…
  • MisoSoup79 do you have to set it up manually each and every time or once there always there?
  • Thanks. We will try it both ways and see what works.
  • Had not thought about swapping passwords but that would work. Thanks for the info. Just thought it would come in handy especially when you create a "MY MEAL" which we trade out recipes. Thanks again.
  • If you have a Polar F6 do you use the Ownzone or do you set your own zones? When using the Ownzone it usually doesn't complete the full 5 levels before starting -- am I doing something wrong? When running it usually shows that I am running somewhere been 95% to 113% capacity but I am not struggling to breathe so I'm not…
  • My daughter-in-law and I are both utilizing this site --- is there a way to view and share each other's food journals?
  • BUMP
  • I try to eat at least half of my exercise calories and leave a little just in case I have under estimated either my intake and/or my calorie burn. Since I have started eating back a portion of my exercise calories I have lost more weight than when I wasn't. Good luck and welcome! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie…
  • I ran 6 miles yesterday wearing a Polar F6 heart monitor and after we finished the results showed that my average HR was 178 (103%) with a max of 193 (113%). During the entire run I was able to talk (maybe not in whole sentences) but pretty much carry on a conversation and not terribly out of breath. Just trying to figure…

  • I have several of her tapes/DVD and love them all. As you can tell I have been using Leslie Sansone workouts for a while -- VHS tapes! Anyone can follow and increase the intensity as they get stronger. I also have the Walk Blaster (http://www.walkawaythepounds.com/drtv/ecs/learnMore.html) and love it. It just mixes things…
  • What about nutritional information for the Granola Bars?
  • Having left over calories is also my dilema. On some days I will have 500+ calories leftover . Sometimes I will go ahead and eat them even though I'm not really hungry and then on others days I don't worry about it and end the day with leftover calories. Of course, that isn't true on every day, especially those days that I…
  • Anyone know anything about Xocai chocolates?
  • I  the Honey Maid Chocolate Delights 100 calories. If you like chocolate they are really good. They also have cheesecake but I didn't like them as well. I bought the Hostees Strawberry cakes -- can't complain about any of them! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter
  • I assume you are referring to the Leslie Sansone tapes. I have about 20 of her walking tapes and have recommended them to everyone I know. The tapes range from beginners to advanced and anyone can them at any age. You need to check out her website leslisesansone.com. You can also make the walk low impact or high impact…
  • I just purchased My Fitness Coach and what I have done so far I love. It's a great workout and gets your heart rate going. I also debted between Jullian Michaels and My Fitness coach and from what I have read, I made the right choice. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

  • Sorry -- doubled up on info -- didn't go to the second page!
  • You can go to runnersworld.com and you can find events and event dates in about every state. There is a tab for "Races and Places". There is also a "smartcoach" which can help with a training program.
  • Found where to change the percentages.
  • Where do you go to change the %? I haven't been able to find it. Thanks.
