It's tough, if not impossible. I have to watch my sodium intake too. I eat relatively few packaged foods (salad dressings and jarred sauces mostly; everything else is cooked from scratch), and I'm having a hard time hitting my sodium target of 1500mg/day. Of course, I'm also low-carbing, which makes it even tougher! I…

Mmmmm . . . buttered lard . . .

5'8", medium frame. Aiming for about 25% bodyfat, so right around 155 would be good.

Super Chinese Buffet!

*slaps forehead* What a great idea! Lo-everything but very tasty! ('cept, I'm gonna use full-fat SC.)
-
I'm taking this med also (25mg), but I've been able to lose weight while on it. However, it doesn't do the best job of controlling my BP.
-
I don't care what size mine are. I only care that I've been able to get rid of my "fat" bras.

I would imagine your chances of losing weight as a CNA are better than that of a desk-jockey! But please be careful and take good care of yourself--that is a field with a high risk of injury. And bless you for doing it--not everyone is cut out for that kind of work, and it's sooo needed.

Wow! I never looked that good at my highest of 202! (I'm also 5'8")

Does your doctor know you're exercising? How many calories do you estimate you burn during a workout? Generally speaking, you'd want to eat those back to achieve a net of 1200.

Thanks, that's reassuring. My knees don't hurt at all, just feel wobbly.
-
Thanks! I'll think about cutting the weight for now. Maybe I got a little over-eager to do them with weight.
-
Thanks, wildboar, for the reply. I'm not used to doing them, but I was surprised at how sore I was after the first couple of sessions with such light weight! But it's the feeling of knee weakness that I find strange. Let's *hope* it's not a medical problem! :frown:

Oh, yes, definitely drink more vodka. That'll help you cut back on the soda. Kidding. Don't overdo, and have fun. :drinker:

Tomorrow.

Then I would suggest you aren't eating enough. Just mho. I eat healthy, and if I'm hungry, I eat more healthy. Hence: never hungry.

Google "low carb diet" and you can get some ideas there. I'd be very careful about bottled marinades as many tend to be high in sugar, which you'd want to avoid. Try to stick to lean proteins and vegetables for awhile, until you get things under control. Frozen veg are okay, but limit canned and processed stuff (full of…

I think the more reading you do here the more stories you will find of people who have lost weight/maintained by eating *smart*. That is, they take in the proper nutrition, move more, and don't sweat the small stuff too much. It seems to me, from others' experience and my own, that once you decide what your goal weight is,…

I don't know a thing about fashion but this sounds pretty cool! (I might try it myself!)

Bumping to save. Thanks so much!

I don't bother logging on weekends. Works for me.
-
Very generous of you to post this, Pike! I have a question: why wouldn't you want to do deadlifts and squats on the same day?
-
Ha! I was going to say that you look like you've lost 20 lbs!
-
Yay!:drinker:

A big giant bag of Lay's Potato Chips! Just kidding. I like Sabra hummus. 6 grams of fat per 2 tbsp serving (really quite a lot, to my way of thinking--I could even have seconds!). Spread on some low-fat delivery device like veggies or low-fat crackers or such. Of course, I've been know to scoop it out of the container…

Well, think how bored we'd all be if weight loss was entirely predictable! Heh. Just kidding; I'd personally love that. But I'm curious--is the going-over due to real hunger? Is it possible you're not feeding yourself enough?
-
You're fine. It's okay. 315 calories is pretty minor in the scheme of things. Drink some water, and get a good night's sleep, and start fresh tomorrow. :flowerforyou:
-
No, don't get discouraged! It happens; salt is wicked stuff! A couple of weeks ago the same thing happened to me--5 lbs of water weight due to eating pizza for 3 days straight. It was gone by Wednesday.
-
Thank you all for the validation. :drinker: I think I'm just getting a wee bit bored with my workouts. Time to mix things up!

Yeesh. Yeah, your husband's got a serious problemo. Here's what you do: sign up for a class (maybe Argentine Tango!) and spend a lot of time talking about how Jorge, your teacher or class partner, is soooo attentive, and how you feel so beautiful in his arms. Watch the hubster have a li'l change of heart. Hee. Or, as…
