  • Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. It's not a 'should do', it's a 'must do'.
  • cheese. one more bite/slice until it's gone. I don't buy it anymore
  • I eat Nature's Harvest Light 100% Whole Wheat Bread. It is 40 cal/slice. Not too hearty or dense, but for a lunch sandwich or morning toast it is perfect for me. It wouldn't cut it for a big burger or say, a monte cristo sandwich...
  • It's a "Must Do", not a "Should Do"
  • i did a weight loss challenge once, and one of my guy friends told me to shave.... I think he was joking about... you know..
  • There's one called Enlightened (I think that's the name or something similar ) that's good and low cal. I had the choc chip cookie dough and it was really good!
  • I see it too, on FaceBook and in beauty magazines. Looks great and no wonder so many people ask on here. Search for ACV on this App. there are thousands of posts saying the same exact thing. Nobody wants to be rude, just want to get the info out there. The info is the same each time the question is asked.
  • I do StickK.com -- it sounds similar. you make a commitment goal and put up $$ and if you don't succeed it goes to either someone you pick - or an ANTI-CHARITY .. it motivates me, I do a 15 day commitment, and then take a few days off and then do another one.

  • I use liquid coffee mate original. i buy the little tubs and 1 tub is 10 cal. I usually only need 1, or 2 for a big coffee. it's very creamy and sweet, too.
  • I get the 94% lean- 4oz raw is 160 cal. I use it a lot, at least a few times a week. Turkey meatloaf, meatballs, tacos, burgers, stuffed peppers, with brown rice, or elbow noodles and tomatoes. This week I am having it sautéed with shredded cabbage, (sometimes with onions too). I love it. It's cheap, and light. A staple…
  • Walking my dogs. I have 3 - and 2 are puppies with lots of energy. In and out about 8 times a night, up and down the stairs, yesterday I got 15k steps and a lot of fresh air and nature and doggy QT
  • I watched the infomercial and was basically like, it's more or less a portion control/ calorie counting plan. So yea, it will work. If you google it, you can get all the info on calories and sizes of the colored Tupperware for free. and you can youtube a ton of workouts. Overall, I think it's a good plan.
  • I buy myself flowers on the weeks I lose. Sometimes just one gerbera daisy. :)
  • I agree that if you are new to this, logging is very necessary. My dad said he wanted to lose weight and had no concept of calories. I told him to write down every single thing he ate for one day, and we figured out the cals. Let's just say he was amazed! After a while, and if you eat a lot of the same foods, it becomes…
  • BREAD! when she lost all that weight and brought the meat out on stage, she had done an all-liquid diet for I believe 4 months. she says she gained weight every day after the 4 months ended. I know she also did Atkins but couldn't stick to it for long-term - BREAD!
  • I just read a story on Oprah. She tried every fad diet out there. After what, 20 years, she's now allegedly on WW, which is essentially a calorie counting and portion control method. All the money in the world, all the people working for you aren't going to do it for YOU.
  • i tried it a while back. I did it for about 6 months. i was big into juicing so a lot of the books i read associated juicing with the raw diet. I juiced vegetables and fruit, and ate salads with seared, rare beef or sashimi. there are certain temperatures you can cook beef and fish to, and it's still considered "raw".…
  • a few years ago, I was unemployed and like you, I budgeted $5 or less per day for food. ideally, I wanted to spend $25 a week. I went to the grocery store with a pad and pen and spent 2 hours just walking through every aisle. I made a list of all the stuff I liked, that I could buy and turn into multiple meals that would…

  • you can sufficiently buy a variety of good foods for $5 a day, or less. canned tuna, brown rice, pasta, beans, eggs, ground turkey or chicken, frozen vegetables at my store are $1 a bag -- this is just a few. convenience foods are usually more expensive you have to be a smart shopper, compare and use the bonus card at your…

  • it's like getting out of a bad relationship. if you aren't ready, you stay in it, even if you are miserable. then at some point, you say THAT'S IT! and you know it's time. you take action, no matter what

  • -there are lots of good workouts on YouTube, too. I was going to barre classes, and they are kind of expensive, and then I found a lot of good ones on YouTube. -there are some good apps - one is the 7 minute routine, they give you short exercises to do in 7 minutes, and you repeat the cycle 4 or 5 times, or however many…
  • Buffalo, NY. just moved here from Chicago. I miss Chi a lot!
  • i totally understand what you're going through. I'm very "all or nothing" too. I know I can be 100% or i'll be 0% and nothing in the middle. and the cycle comes and goes and when I lose track i'll go days or weeks until I snap out of it. so, you are NOT alone! what others have said, start with small things and little…
  • I have an air fryer too! I love it and have yet to try the frozen wings! more ideas, more ideas.........
  • yea, it's frustrating making 2 drumsticks (baking with mixed veg for 75 minutes +) and getting 5 bites of the meat! but I did it to fit in the cals and even was coming close to my limit. I'll stick w/ the 2 drumsticks and then have a fudge pop
  • stella- I know! I am excited, my dinner which I calculated over 700 cals is only probably 400! lemur- thank you, this will be the way I do it from now on. Yea, the chicken cooked on the bone is a lot tastier, I agree.
  • oh, this link is great, thank you! yes, I have been overestimating, because I've been using the weight with the bone, and it's been like 12 ounces vs the 5 or so ounces it yields. which is a huge difference! wow, I could've probably had a whole extra leg. THANK YOU for the help, all.
