How can you not afford it? I've saved so much money since I started losing weight.12

"Dieting" is just eating less. When you consistently eat less, you lose weight. It will take time, and you'll feel "fat" for a while even though you're eating less but if you don't eat less, you'll "feel fat" forever. What is it about this that you feel that you can't do?5

What can't you afford? This is a free app.
Dieting doesn't have to be expensive. Enter your stats in MFP, along with an accurate activity level, goal weight, and reasonable rate of loss. MFP will calculate a calorie target for you. Eat a variety of foods to achieve that calorie target, focusing on those that provide nutrition (macro and micro nutrients), satiety (fills you up) and enjoyment (keeps you happy while losing). Track as accurately as possible. Exercise if you enjoy it, eating back a portion of those calories when you do.
You know what's expensive? Copays from obesity related diseases.10 -

If you are not committed to losing weight, don't do it. It's a waste of time and an exercise in futility. However, if you actually do want to lose weight, I'd suggest examining why working on it makes you feel crummy. Weight loss doesn't have to be a miserable process.10

Not when you know how to shop.16 -
You could lose weight eating off the dollar menu too. Might not be the healthiest, but you either want this and are ready for it, or you don't and you're not. It's all about choices. We were all not ready at one point in time. Maybe you're just not there yet.11

You had a thread about this over the weekend and people gave you several economical choices that work within a calorie and monetary budget. Even still - it is possible to lose weight while eating at McDonalds.
It seems you aren't really committed and are looking for excuses why this is too difficult or not achievable for you.18 -

That's not necessarily true at all it really depends on how much of something you buy, and if you make food in advance you're able to make the food into smaller servings and use it for even a full calorie week if you want. Meal prepping saves me money.
For example, I shop at Aldi and a $1 stretches pretty far! I buy my meat from a shop by the pound, so this helps me out as well.3 -

Here is the other thread where you got some really good suggestions..

Are there not items on the dollar menu that fit your calories?? I lost plenty of weight eating fast food. Just make it fit your calories.
Your post sounds like maybe you're not ready for this yet. Maybe someday you'll drop the excuses and will be in the proper mindset to lose the weight. Maybe you'll decide you're happy with the weight you are. No problem with that.6 -

Because you persist in making excuses about why you can't do it and ignore the advice you've already been given.17 -

As long as you're in a caloric deficit even if you choose to go to Macdonald or Wendy's, or Carl's Jr., or just consume ice cream (not enough nutrients so wouldn't recommend) You'll lose weight. I used to eat at Taco Bell when I was in college (totally cheaper!) and I lost weight.0 -

Because all you are doing is making excuses as to why you cannot lose weight despite being given options and suggestions.7 -

You aren't willing to put in the effort to do it. You're making excuses such as not being able to afford to eat less food. If you are married to the idea of the dollar menu, go once a day instead of twice. Or simply order fewer $1 items each time you go.4 -
it's like getting out of a bad relationship. if you aren't ready, you stay in it, even if you are miserable.
then at some point, you say THAT'S IT! and you know it's time. you take action, no matter what9 -

Yeah because my $5 a day I have to spend is obviously going to get me A TON at the grocery store1 -

$5 a day is $35 a week and I could shop healthy on that. *shrug* How bad do you want it?12 -

You either want it or you don't want it. Being fat is hard. Losing weight is hard. Pick your hard. If you don't have the willpower to work hard then stop complaining because it's not getting you anywhere. There are plenty of ways to lose weight on a budget. Instead of ordering multiple burgers off the dollar menu, buy a salad with light dressing instead. It sounds like you're just making excuses.

you can sufficiently buy a variety of good foods for $5 a day, or less.
canned tuna, brown rice, pasta, beans, eggs, ground turkey or chicken, frozen vegetables at my store are $1 a bag -- this is just a few.
convenience foods are usually more expensive
you have to be a smart shopper, compare and use the bonus card at your store.

Have you figured out your calorie limit on MFP yet?1
