Stick with MFP! I am currently losing baby weight from baby #3 ( 5 years, 3 years, & 2 1/2 months). MFP was a life saver the last two times, so here I am again!!

Thanks Angela & keep up the good work in your competition! Who cares if others give up, stay strong and win their money!!! :) ThisAboveAll- Way to go getting sooo close to getting rid of the baby weight!!
-
Yeah I am getting there but wow the toning that needs to happen after a baby lol I have about 13 lbs to go for sure and we will see from there but I would just like to get rid of this next 8 b/c that would bring me to 150 and I am ok with my body at that weight :)

ThisAboveAll~ Way to meet your mini goal!! Congrats! How tall are you? I just noticed your starting and goal weight are almost exactly the same as mine! ( I'm 5'8") I too weighed in this A.M and I lost 2 lbs this past week

All inclusive, I assume you are going somewhere warm!? I would say definitely indulge a bit but usually the buffets have a load of veggies for salads so I would start with a big salad and then go and choose what you want to eat b/c you won't be famished and you will probably make better choices. For me eating on an all…

Great Job!! It looks like you are very close to your goal! Keep it up!

GReat Loss!!! Congrats!! No you didn't miss a post. The 17 Day Diet is a book by Dr. Mike Moreno. It has been all over daytime TV (The Doctors, Dr. Phil, etc) Anyway a couple of friends and I ordered it and in a nutshell it is 3 cycles of 17 days the first cycle is fairly strict~ I see it kind of as somewhat of a fast-no…

3.2 lbs lost this week!!! YAY! I have never had a big loss like that for a while! That's a pound more than usual...I guess this 17 day diet thing is working (even though I gave myself 2 "cheat" meals this weekend!

I wouldn't bother eating exercise cals unless you are actually hungry! I rarely if ever eat mine but if you really want to try almonds or natural peanut butter they are high in cals but are good for you and you don't need to eat a lot for the cals to add up :)
-
Angela- I am up to weighing in weekly! It is great to have to be held accountable to someone other than myself!
-
I agree kids come first! And 1-200 cals over should still be below the cals needed to maintain your weight so you should still lose some weight PLUS if you are up all night I would assume that your body needs a bit more fuel to get by! Just hang in there sick kids is definitely no fun....maybe make a healthy batch of…

Great loss! keep it up!! Do you gals regularly weigh in weekly?

oatmeal never mind too slow lol

My pre-baby body. I guess I just want to be ME again!

bump Thanks they sound yummy!

I'm 5'8 and my goal weight is around 145...I find it a maintainable weight. I was 137 for my wedding but I had to be to strict in order to maintain it!

From my research it seems that women trying to lose weight should try to stay around two servings of whole grain (slower digested) carbs a day in order to continue burning fat. It is also supposedly better to eat your carbs earlier in the day to give your body time to burn them. Hope that helps a bit :) Don't forget you…

I am from Saskatchewan and interested in what other's have to say.... same old gets pretty old pretty quick lol. You may also just want to try using the recipe tool on this site. I have realized that a lot of what I used to cook isn't actually that bad for me in moderation. For instance if I make a homemade soup or chile…

I am not sure where you are located but I am a teacher and in my area the best way to get a position is to get on a School Division's substitute teacher list and / or volunteer at schools in the division that interests you that way you can show off your abilities to those that count!!! Plus it gets you out of the house,…

WTG!! You look FANTASTIC!!! Congrats!!!

I agree with everybody you just need to change how you eat the things you love not what you eat. Preparing food yourself can cut calories not to mention sodium! You can make homemade chicken pita pizza's or thin crust chicken pizza. I also will substitute my burger bun with lettuce or even pita burger buns. As far as…

I just wanted the topic to save in my topics b/c I was interested in what others had to say. It's like tagging the thread :)

Thanks!! As far as finding time to exercise I am also worried about fitting it in and not being completely exhausted when I go back to work after my Maternity leave is up. Hopefully the weather will be nice and I can just go for walks with my little man.

I feel for you!! Weather has been horrible here lately too! The past couple days I have had major issues getting my butt in gear! I think getting more vitamin D in your diet or by supplements may help....that's all I got lol. Interested in other's input :)

Funny that you bring this up! I am on maternity leave and I used to play all those facebook games while feeding my little one and just the other day I logged into facebook and I had over 100 game requests. I realized that since I got back on MFP I totally ditched facebook! I prefer MPF because it motivates me to get OFF my…
