  • Welcome, and happy travels! :)
  • I am proud of you for taking the initiative to change your diet. Your family will eventually see the results and perhaps join you in healthier habits. We tend to eat the way those around us eat, so good for you for paving the way for your health and the health of your family. I have a good friend who is doing the same…
  • You were beautiful before, but you look much healthier and happier now! :) great job! :drinker:
  • For those like myself who have PCOS or diabetes (where basically your body cannot handle sugar), it is very important to track sugar intake levels to realize which foods are higher in sugar. I have such a hard time with limiting my sugar because I love juice and fresh fruit smoothies, but just one glass of juice will take…
  • I have PCOS and underactive thyroid. What I wouldn't give to be healthy and pregnant right now...
  • If I had only just looked first before posting..! Here I can clearly see that P90X is very popular. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/77056-p90x-starting-a-new-thread
  • WOW great job everyone! I am glad to see so many are in this program like I am! To update my own progress: I started week 2 while in sunny San Diego on vacation. I'm worried that it will be much more difficult to run back at home, at 9000 ft...... but I guess I'll have to find out!
  • I would love to train for a triathlon! I've never been fit though, so this whole exercise thing is new to me. I'm learning how to listen to my body and trying to push myself without getting injured. I would like to have a goal like this to help keep me motivated. It will be fun!
  • :flowerforyou: YAY! CONGRATS!
  • When you go on vacation, will you be taking some time to run? I'm hoping to make time to run while on vacation so I won't lose the habit and get lazy  Besides, I think it might be fun to experience running in a different place for a change.
  • At 19, she is legally an adult. You cannot be held responsible for something she does wrong. I understand you don't want to see her get in trouble, but she is of age to make her own choices and without making mistakes, she will never learn.
  • GOOD JOB!
  • Starting @ 200 lbs Week 1 @ 200 lbs :frown: Goal by Xmas = 160 lbs
  • For those who are doing this program, I have a question for you. How often do you run? Daily? Three times a week as suggested?
  • I look funny when I run. My shorts bunch up between my fat thighs. :embarassed:
  • Women are objects. :embarassed: I myself was a thin object until I was 7 years old. Since then, I've been a fat lard. What gives?
  • :grabbing soapbox with determined look in eye: The only reason "society" thinks size 0 is attractive is because it's so RARE. Those people are FREAKS of nature.
  • Are you familiar with the Sims2? You are the first person I've ever met who actually aspires to eat Grilled Cheese every day! LOL.
  • Thanks all for the love and support! (This is the greatest place to get it ) I enjoy Ullrey's podcast because the music is fast and he says things like "you can do it!" It would be nice to have a bigger variety of music, but I don't mind the techno-ish beat so much. It's driving, and I think that's the point. I'm so…
  • Hoooray for confidence! I'm so proud of you and happy for you! And I'm glad you had a great time at the beach! :drinker:
  • I had a bowl of wheaties with whole milk for breakfast today. :flowerforyou:

  • Being active is a state of mind for me. Some days I "know" I should be exercising but I don't wanna, so I make excuses not to. Other days I *know* I should be exercising AND I wanna, so I make time for it and have fun with it. You really do have to make it fun. I am amazed that playing Frisbee in the swimming pool burns as…

  • Interesting. My hubby and I were just conversing about this. We decided that the only way to rebel against American culture is by not consuming. And none of us natives seem to be able to stop consuming once we've started. That's what we concluded, anyway. We were discussing this after being gluttons at the greatest Mexican…
  • Wow, what a great looking recipe! The picture really helps make it look delish. I will be trying this because I've been searching for a way to eat zucchini!! Thank you so much!
  • Take a walk. Light a candle. Read a book. Pet my furry felines. Take pictures of flowers. Conscientious breathing. Sing a song about my troubles. Play the Sims3.
  • Mmmmm yes!!! I like to make it myself... YUM!
  • Are any of you prone to giving up due to the length of time it takes to complete your weight loss goals? I've never weighed this much, and I'm very discouraged. Putting on fifty extra pounds was so easy, yet getting rid of it is taking too long and I'm about ready to give up again. I've moved into a mountain community…
  • I've been subscribing to the Yogamazing podcast available for free on iTunes, and WOW what a great show! I would recommend it to anyone who has the resources: DO YOGA! It's mentally and physically healthy for you. It's a good prelude to a busy day, or a good way to wind down before bedtime, or however you want to use it.…
