Belly, and I sooo wish we COULD spot reduce. I don't want to lose anymore from anywhere else!

I'm in a city of roughly 500,000. Not super urban, but far from rural.

I'm in California and DH has a CCW. My understanding is that, if you feel your life is in danger, you have the right to shoot. If someone is shooting another person remotely in my vicinity, I would feel that my life is in danger, and I wouldn't hesitate.

It's another forum (lowcarbfriends). We have a much more active JUDDD board over there, and some stay low carb, while others eat anything and everything.

I took several maintenance "breaks" during my loss. Whenever I felt diet fatigue setting in, I'd go into maintenance for a few weeks. I found, at least for me, my body naturally gravitated back to weight loss mode when I was ready. I agree with a previous poster as well, that you won't know until you get to 200 pounds…

I was an EMT/Firefighter for several years. I totally get this. :flowerforyou:

I got a puppy when I hit my goal weight.

ITA! Welcome, and enjoy those UDs. They make the DDs so worth it.

I love Greece! Santorini is my favorite place in the whole world, and I'd live there if I could! Welcome!

ADF worked well for me, and I maintain with 5:2.

I don't do low carb anymore, but when I did, these were my standby items for travel. If you know you will have a fridge, hard boiled eggs, cheese sticks, lettuce, salad dressing, pre-cooked bacon, lunch meat, etc. These work well in a small cooler as well if you're travelling by car. If you don't know if you'll have a…

41 and maintaining now. It WAS hard to lose, but not impossible. :drinker:

. . . on a log.

I often use zucchini noodles and top with light Alfredo sauce, fresh garlic, and either chicken or tuna. It's sooo good!

We just went again last week for my daughter's birthday. Plenty of options are available if you WANT to eat healthy or lower calorie.

Booze :drinker:

I'm a short haired, nice-smelling person, and I have a bunch of tattoos.

I just got mine yesterday. I had no idea you could add friends. Please feel free to add me: dawn_mchenry@yahoo.com I'll have to play around with my account and see what all it does. So exciting!

DH is only 6'3" and he is cramped in a regular King size. We have a Cali King and it's perfect. (I'm 5'9", and we have large dogs which sometimes sleep in bed--then it's too crowded!).

Welcome! JUDDD is awesome, even for those of us with a few years and wonky thyroids! Regarding exercise, it's totally up to you. Some find they have more energy on DDs and choose to do aerobic exercise then. Others choose to only exercise on UDs. Others (like me) are really bad about incorporating ANY formal exercise. Shh,…

Did they test anything other than TSH? If you are having conversion problems (due to Hashimoto's most likely), your numbers could go all wonky very quickly. T3 readings would be what I'd look at in this case, though I'm still learning, so I'm not 100% sure.

It also states very clearly in the blog that IF is fine for most people and only may be detrimental to people with documented blood sugar issues. Anecdotally, I'm on another board where JUDDD is the main focus and have seen a couple of diabetics reverse their diabetes and be taken off all medications, just from following…

Today is a semi-fasting day for me, so I'll just be having Greek yogurt. Yesterday, though, I had a fantastic, low calorie dinner. I steamed a couple of tilapia fillets (steam bags in the microwave), topped with lemon juice and salsa, and roasted fresh Brussels sprouts. It was fantastic!

Yup!

I agree with so many others, that cheating and what's considered cheating, are entirely dependent upon the relationship. Furthermore, it can evolve within the relationship. 10 years ago, if my husband was flirting with someone, I'd be hurt. Now, we go out and each flirt with other people. It's FUN! He loves it when other…

It worked beautifully for me. I did alternate day fasting through most of my loss, and I'm maintaining with 5:2.

-What's your calories per day? 2000 calories 5 days per week, 500 calories 2 days per week (5:2 plan for maintenance) -Height, weight, age, gender 5'9", 145, 41, F -How many times do you exercise per week? I don't. I know, bad, but true. -How many meals do you have per day? 3 meals per day. I sometimes snack, but not…

Whatever you can stick with is what will work best. I did low carb and lost pretty well, but found it too restrictive. I always gained back what I lost on low carb, not because it doesn't work, but because I personally couldn't stick with it. Now I just worry about calories, via intermittent fasting.

I would totally do it if I had the money and if I wasn't scared to death of surgery. I've lost a LOT of weight and the girls just don't seem to want to stay where they were originally placed. :blushing:

Good job!
