  • Thanks for the encouragement! I've started keeping a box of protein bars in my locker, and a few Greek yogurts in the department fridge, so that I always have something healthy to eat at school. I'm work-study, so I have access to the special faculty fridge... which is right next to the fridge filled with microbiology…
  • The semester started (I'm a "nontraditional" student / I'm "old") right after Labor Day, and I've been having some difficulty working my newly-established health-related habits into my new schedule. I haven't logged, or weighed, or really paid that much attention (with the exception of a few gym trips) for the last two…

  • I'm old. It was always a pound or number sign when I was growing up. Why did they change it to "hashtag"? Irritating.

  • Started a month ago at 215 sz 18, now down to 203 sz 16/18. 36 y/o, full-time student. If TMI and occasional NSFW posts don't bother you, please feel free to add me as a friend! My current goal is to fit a size 2XL Doctor Who t-shirt that was shipped to me in error (should have been 3XL.) My long-term goal is to get down…
  • My first goal is to fit into this Doctor Who t-shirt: http://www.teefury.com/geronimo I ordered it online months ago, along with 2 others. The other 2 were size 3X and fit. This one was shipped with the wrong size, 2X. It does NOT fit. Rather than go through the hassle of returning it, I resolved to make it fit. The day I…
  • May 2016. Already have a BA in Psychology, but went back to school for something actually useful (AAS in Clinical Laboratory Technology & certificate in Biomanufacturing). 2 more years!
  • :runs to start filling bathtub: Sex toys float!?! Sounds like time for 2am science experiments. Drank waaaaaay too much tea before bedtime. Wired & weird. Feel free to add me if you can handle TMI and occasional NSFW posts.

  • That's fantastic! Looking forward to trying this!
  • Thanks everyone! I have some things to look into. I was totally stalled creatively, so your responses are a big help!
  • I made Turkey Santa Fe Zucchini Boats and had lots of filling left over, so I threw the leftovers into the slow cooker with a packet of chili seasoning, a can of beans (doesn't matter what kind), a small can of tomato sauce, and 3 fresh plum tomatoes, chopped. Cooked on high for 3 hours. Voila! Chili. Appropriate since…
  • That sounds great! I'll have to try it!

  • I told my fiance, my workout buddy, my mom, and my IRL friends on MFP. I don't plan on advertising it, but I'll answer truthfully if asked. For snacks: frozen fruit - love frozen watermelon! Also substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream, and I found dip mixes go great with cottage cheese (which I ordinarily hate). If…

  • Me too! But I haven't gotten too far...yet. :)
  • That's heartbreaking to read. I didn't really put on weight until my mid-20's. By best friend in high school (and to this day) was "The Big Girl" - sans boobs, which is a cruel joke by the Universe. I knew she had it tough growing up, but I can see through your post how truly brutal it was. smh I see you've made amazing…
