I agree! This guys was super boring and if I was a beginner there is NO way I could get through that workout! The format was just all wrong! Good luck on your challenges everyone!
-
I started this yesterday and did day one and two. Day two workout was so disappointed. Hated it but pushed through!

I have done a few of the Jillian Michael's workouts and found that I did not burn a lot of calories while doing them. It all really depends on the exercises involved, the intensity in which you are doing those exercises.....It definitely could be accurate.

Interesting information on strength building and using HRM. Thanks for that advice!
-
Yes bilked up meaning more strength and getting leaner...for example I had wicked love handles...actually a spare tire....spending some time on ab has leaned that up and my core is stronger so I can hold a plank for significantly longer...I did the whole TDEE thing awhile back and it set me at 1733 I believe to. I use an…

Thank you so much everyone! I didn't realize until recently that I was eating so many carbs. I definitely picked up on not eating enough protein and will figure out how to address that. I can not eat eggs due to a severe sensitivity and what they cause! (You don't want to know!). My macros are set to 40/30/30 although I am…

Bump!!! Anyone?

Exercise and eat right. Build muscle and lose fat. That will be just about all you need.

The truth is NONE of us know this dude and none of us know if he is guilty of what he is accused of and none of us know if he belongs in jail. He's cute....yes. He's also married so as long as his wife is ok with him then eh.....

It is individual for everyone. You can get an HRM to track calories burned incorporate some cardio in while strength training to maximize calorie burn. The estimates in the MFP database tend to be way off so use at your own free will.

Exactly what PP just said....the body needs fuel to do anything...
-
Youtube....search Fitness Blender, Melissa Bender, or the Daily HIIT
-
HIIT or Tabata for sure. Maximum effectiveness in a short amount of time. I enjoy some Zumba every now and then but it's hard on my knees!
-
During my period I workout as normal but I do wear tampons. Maybe invest in a DivaCup or the Instead cup if it's that much of an issue. I can not IMAGINE working out with a pad.... :(
-
I donated them or gave them to family members. Once I was down a solid 2-3 sizes, I got rid of them. No sense in holding to something I have no plans to go back to.

I met my initial goal of losing 100 pounds and initially quit logging after doing so. BUT I found that I wasn't as ready as I though to stop logging so I am back at it. I never had the urge to binge but do cheat every now and then. I don't feel guilty about it at all. It's necessary for my mental health :) There is no real…

My sentiments exactly! How about some nonstick spray if you need a little oil to cook it. Also the Starbucks surely did a number on your calories for the day....
-
It is SO tough to find a healthy hotdog. You have to weigh your options. When we eat them we do Hebrew National 97% fat free...45 calories a piece and pretty good!
-
If you create a caloric deficit, you will lose weight. Simple science of weight loss although you won't get the added benefit of toning up/gaining muscle.
-
I have lost 100+ pounds and yes I still have stretch marks. I feel indifferent about them. They aren't going to disappear so I don't focus on them at all.....You can lessen the appearance of them but they don't disappear.
-
I would definitely recommend a HIIT workout. Try Youtube...LionsGate BeFit, Melissa Bender....15-20 HIIT workout will work you out pretty well....
-
No surgery here either! Just lots of sweat and tears.
-
The best way to figure this is to wear an hrm. Arc trainers grossly over exaggerate the amount of calories burned. I was shocked when I started wearing an hrm and compared what it said to what the machine said.
-
100 lbs lost in 18 months. About 25-35 more pounds and Ill be at my goal.
-
Are you doing any other working out other than the Zumba once per week? Are you hoping to use the weights at home? If your goal is to lose and build muscle at the same time, then you'll have to workout more than that and incorporate cardio. In the beginning I worked out every other day for at least 30 minutes of cardio.…

4 times a week HIIT for 30-45 minutes. I do strength as well. I don't feel right if I don't get some solid cardio in.
-
FitnessBlender is great. Melissa Bender is another that I really enjoy as well.
-
I cook healthy meals for my entire family and what is served is what is served. We don't diet in our house so what is on the menu is on the menu.

Just glancing at it, you are going to get tired of eating chicken breast. No veggies....you can easily steam or roast them and there are ways to incorporate fruits. Naturally occurring sugars are vastly different than heaps of white sugar. Keep that in mind. You need more variety I would say.
