  • Only been a vegetarian for 6 months but yeah~ ^^
  • -Shopping. (I can't trust my current size anymore. I'm not done losing and I know the clothes I buy now won't fit. Or I buy a size smaller and wait for it to fit. I also have no clue what size jeans I wear. Seems like the smaller you become, the more variable the sizes become. I can wear a small but hmmm maybe I'll go…

  • Go spicy or go home. That's my moto. My ethnic foods = heaven Indian cuisine = heaven Cajun cuisine = heaven (Growing up we used to have habanero pepper eating contests at home. Heck... my mom cooks with them daily. It's her favorite pepper.)

  • >_> Wow... I'm sure the OP didn't expect his thread to turn into a bash fest. His tone isn't even that harsh which I can't understand how some of the opposing views are so snarky. (>u> Though he does call some of these new diet plans/ways of healthy living bs... the key point about moderation seems to the stand out here...…

  • I once had a hotel room that overlooked a nude beach ... was it myrtle beach? (SC) ... I don't even remember. I was like 13. I was like: O____O (Needless to say.. us kids were banned from looking out the window for an entire week) However.. I would never.ever.ever.ever.EVER walk or dream of walking on a nude beach.
  • Pfffffft. Contrary to what sites generalize about where women and men lose weight first... I lost my legs. Supposedly this is the area that women have the "hardest" time losing but that was gone in a flash. I ended up with a horrible muffin top just because my legs got smaller and nothing else. THEN. To make matters…
  • ^^ Hey hey. I'm 5'5, 22 yrs old, and started at 173... since you're just starting you'll be amazed at the results you can get just on fixing your diet alone. When I first started.. I didn't exercise at all. Hated it. Still dropped 15-20 pounds on portioning my meals and I still ate just three meals a day and was still…
  • You go into stealth mode. I'm the only one "dieting" in my house and what I did is rearrange everything. All the chips, cookies, dips, poptarts, and other "junk foods" are hidden behind a wall of prunes, nuts, almond milk (I buy these in bulk and stalk them up in the pantry), and otherwise healthy food. I basically have to…
  • Fried oreos. Two minutes to eat... About 800 calories ingested. -cry-
  • I smuggle all my goodies to the movies (huge bags of chips, candy, chocolate, soda, slurpies, etc) Once my friends and I brought gyros and tacos. LOL. Now, the only thing I smuggle is a large bottle of water. -sigh-
  • Yup. Fish is gross. The smell of it cooking is enough to trigger my gag reflexes. When I did eat fish..the only way I could have it was deep fried with thick crispy batter and a ton of tartar sauce or ketchup. ..even then.. my gag reflexes would barely be under control.

  • Nutella is amazing. But it took A LONG TIME TO GET POPULAR. I have a French background and in our household, we regularly ate nutella in a toasted french baguette. Omg heaven. I introduced my classmates to nutella back in 9th grade.. I'm now done with college. So it's been around for a good while. Don't see how it suddenly…
  • Entire box of domino's pizza (thin crust) and a bag of Doritos (the regular sized.. not those mini snack sized ones for a buck)... then throw in a couple of glasses of sprite. Actually. I can binge eat Doritos. A whole bag in one sitting. I'm talking family sized. I've permanently banned myself from Doritos. Now my new…
  • Lentils. Lentils are gross. I've had them raw, cooked in soups, etc. They're just gross. -shudders. Kale. Someone recommended this to me.... as a lettuce alternative in my salad. I took once bite and basically threw away the entire salad. Though if you sauté it with onions, garlic, and ginger, and slap it in a quesadilla…
  • I drooled, drowned, and went to heaven. YES. And most other foods in this thread. YES. Just. YES. YES. YES...
  • I think she could stand to gain some weight to fill herself out more. At least 10 more pounds. Which I'm sure she'll end up doing.. who knows. She looks a bit gaunt in the face but nonetheless well done on her part. She did what others dream to do. Besides, most winners tend to look a little more plump after the show is…
  • X'D Me too, me too. I'm 22 and graduated last May. Now I'm in my second semester of grad school. I know exactly what you're going through. Though my roommate was actually a bit bigger...she was CONFIDENT. So she didn't get why I stressed so much about the way I looked/ the food I ate. I wish I had her confidence! Lol. Good…
  • I love love love it. I even stock up on it. For every opened one I have, I have two backups in the pantry. I don't really eat pbj sandwhiches so I don't know how the texture of it is as spreadable butter. I use it as a peanut butter flavor in my peanut butter banana smoothies and peanut butter banana oatmeal. So any place…

  • I started an exercise regime where I HAVE to keep my protein in check. I'm vegetarian and like some said here.. you REALLY need to plan. And if you're doing it for more lean muscle.. you may need to think about a protein shake. I buy a vegan brown rice protein powder. It has 15g of protein for three tbsp. (I got mine at…
  • This article is pretty interesting.
  • I thought I'd be the only one here to have this problem. Aha. Thanks everyone. Based on the first reply and a few others, I decided to buy a large bag of almonds. And you guys are right.. a portion size of almonds is like literally 20-24 almond pieces and that's 160 calories. And avocados. Avocados are amazing. <3 >_> I…
  • Well let me say this. Automatically being a vegetarian or vegan doesn't automatically make you healthy. Actually, it can make you become much more unhealthy if you're not careful. That being said, I have been a "vegetarian" for three months now. I've only lost 10 pounds during that time span... no exercise just diet. It…
