  • Guys.... My couch is SUPER comfy tonight.
  • I am one hour off you, but am a night owl. I am in Mountain Time! Will send a friend request!
  • Go check out the Challenges forums. I am currently in a Hogwarts challenge- and it doesn't get much nerdier than Harry Potter. There are lots of challenges there run by other members. Sometimes you just have to wait a few weeks for one to pop up! They're a good way to embrace your inner nerd while achieving some fitness…
  • This exact question was asked on another weight loss forum I was on years ago. The answer someone gave has always stuck with me: "None of us got fat eating carrots." I just loved it and it has always stuck with me. A bit blunt but I am a blunt type of person. What it really drills down to is if you're eating something…
  • I asked a dietician I was seeing about this once and she said they were fine but to pair with some extra vegetables as often as possible.
  • Cute zoo photo to finish off the week: Our baby Kimani hanging out with Momma and Auntie.
  • Just stopped by the spreadsheet and noticed...ALL THE ORANGES HAVE BEEN EATEN!!! Great work everybody! :) Thanks for all the kind words everybody. Got to work today but only lasted about 6 hours. But just tomorrow for work and then my weekend is Monday/Tuesday so things are looking up! Just the walk from my car to the…
  • Say what you will about the boring prairies...we get super manageable natural disasters. No ice storms, no tsunamis, no earth quakes. Yup, I am just gonna huddle here in the middle of the country.
  • Hi Elle! Welcome to the site! I am sending over a friend request. I too do not want to run 5 miles a day. Running sucks.
  • Hi all! Back to work for me today. Not back at 100% but good enough to get back to life. Thank goodness because I was getting bored at home. Stepped on the scale and lost a stupid amount of weight. I totally expect some of that to come back over the next week as I feel like it was mostly due to me being sick. I didn't eat…
  • Sorry folks, still sick! Stayed home from work today and just rested so here's hoping I will be starting to get back to normal by the weekend. Thanks to those picking up the slack. I promise another week it will be me picking up the slack for someone else!
  • @jamaicanlady The "grocery store of mom and dad" is my favourite grocery store!
  • Hi All! Hope you're having a good day! I woke up with a sore throat (boo-urns!). I made it through the work day but have zero energy left. Not to mention I am walking with a limp because my workout in Monday was a half hour of Step Aerobics that I clearly was not ready for LOL. This is day 2 after the workout and my calves…
  • Keep on keeping on! My scale didn't move for a week and I was getting so discouraged seeing all the losses on my home screen from friends. So I committed to use my weekend to up my exercise and when I stepped on the scale today I finally had a loss! Not saying that is the solution for you but something is! Just keep the…

  • Well those Chinese videos are definitely not my thing haha. But I pushed through and got them done for the points! Wasn't sure how to record the exercise but I thought it felt like calisthenics so I went with that in my diary. @Cindyk4919 It's Beethoven's Ode to Joy. I don't think he ever wrote lyics to it but many have…

A BRIEF (OR LONG) DESCRIPTION OF WHERE YOU LIVE: I live in a basement. It is the underside of a house....lol. But seriously - Calgary is a beautiful…
  • Can I suggest a celebrity endorser for our team? Because we are...
  • Hello! It's my first race and I am excited to get started. My exercise has been lacking. But I am super competitive so I know this competition will light a fire under my butt!
  • I have many workout DVDs I use at home. When it's-25C or colder out, leaving my house isn't exactly on my to do list. My favourite DVDs are Leslie Sansone - very easy to do, she is friendly, you can actually see her sweat, and you can make it as intense or not as you want. I also have dumbells, an exercise ball, workout…
  • Yeah the facilities are in decent shape. Given the money drain the Olympics are, I am starting to be of the opinion that they should pick a few set host cities and just rotate. Interesting theory @Morgaen73. I feel like you're 150 years too late to change our minds though. (Happy 150th Canada!) Big news lately is our mini…
  • See if you can get some friends who have open diaries. Then you can take a look at them and see what they're eating to give you ideas. Sorry mine isn't open but my mother is friends with me on here and I really don't need her seeing what I eat LOL. :D
  • Ok when I read this I was watching TV and on first glance thought it said "it looks like my farts are way out of control. Suffice to say the thread turned out very different.
  • When I did do them, I found it most successful to plan them on Monday. I tend to be more organized and strict during the work week. Found when I did a cheat day/meal on Friday it turned into a cheat weekend and then everything fell apart.
  • Very close here! I am down to 286 but started at 300. I will send a friend request!
  • They just have an exploratory committee at the moment to decide whether to bid or not.
  • Sent a friend request!
  • Snack Packs. Need my daily pudding. Not sure why but I guess it kills all my sugar cravings and seems more satisfying and rich than the healthy food. And when they're on sale you can get them for $1 per pack...that's $0.25 per pudding!
