I prefer whole foods. Id rather eat a chicken breast than drink a shake. That being said..when I need something in a hurry or have a huge workout day I will sometimes add a Jillian Micheal's Shake in bc I trust she doesnt put chemicals or artificial sweeteners and stuff in it...its more whole food oriented I think...but…

I teared up at spin class last week I had a pulled muscle in my neck but I was crying more bc I stepped on the scale before class and felt sad and the workout was even tougher than before and I teared up!! luckily it was dark!

I can't remember if I posted on this or not before..but SALMON!! I WISH WISH WISH I liked it but I don't I can't swallow it it just makes me gag! I can eat mild fish like cod or halibut, etc..but not salmon or other fishy fish: )

I'm trying to eat my carbs(good ones) in the morning anf afternoon to fuel energy for the day. At night or my dinner..I try to limit the carbs since I am usually going to retire and dont need the amount of carbs most dinners provide. I love that book In Defense of Food! It really opened my eyes. I try to eat as close to mother earth as possible and that includes a little wheat and other grains/carbs..even some white potatoes..It is a great book!

AS if suddenly losing the amount of weight you want gives us the excuse to go back to eating more again and not exercising! I get really bad bouts of anxiety/depression and I actually HAVE to meditate and do breathing exercises. I honestly through my breath tell myself to release the bad and bring in the good. People who never had depression just don't know how debilitating it is! It really is hard to even get out the door! Hope this moment…

I am not vegetarian but I believe in eating meat sparingly! It is hard to diet when all the trainers at the gym want you to eat high protien and legumes apparently carry to many carbohydrates! Are you vegetarian for healthy reasons or animal rights? I knew some that ate fish? Im not sure what that is called...

Make sure you eat larger amounts of lower calorie foods but dont forget proteins either. When we are used to eating a lot and we are used to eating foods like sugar, refined carbs, or chemicals from fast foods/chips/etc our bodies DO go through withdrawals. I can not tell you how wonderful it is to see others who are not the "typical" image of a marathon or triathlete doing them. It makes me feel like my dreams are possible that I can do it BEFORE I lose every ounce of fat!! Thanks for being an inspiration!!! Keep at it!

NOthing more versatile than chicken. Nothing more refreshing than watermelon (or Peaches from the stand). I love my veggies and eat so many but I use onion in so many things I couldn't live with out it. AS for taste..I love my Asparagus.
