I do a banana and homemade almond butter an hour before.

I have an Apple watch. I paid for Zones app, and enter the calories burned into MFP.

I'm from the Blue Mountains but live in the USA.

I'm on day 26 of no diet soda so I feel for you! I just had to suck it up and drink water with lemon or plain water, but I let myself have one cup of coffee just to take the edge off the caffeine withdrawals. The weird thing is i realize I am craving less sugar now than I did before.

I'm on Day 29 of being soda free. I will tell you... the first three weeks were a witch-with-a-b for me. And now, I actually don't even miss it.

Do you weigh your food and accurately track your calories?
-
From the Blue Mountains, NSW - now live in the USA.

Kupe, good luck with that! I plan on moving back in a few years, although I know re-entry is going to be tough. Still, I miss my family.

I try to actually slow down to enjoy what I'm eating, rather than scarf it down. I also forced my family to actually SIT at the table and eat food together, rather than us all vegging on the couch. When I'm distracted while I'm eating (reading a book, watching TV), I mindlessly eat and then all of a sudden I look at an…

I like Trader Joe's honey Greek yogurt... or Chobani, but I add pineapple and Bear Naked granola.

Yep, I am. (At least... I try to be.) My basic reason why is because it's more affordable to eat clean than it is to eat a lot of processed food...plus when I eat processed food, I seem to crave more. (The only exception is that I still buy dried pasta, and only a few items are purchased as organic. So, clean eating for me…

Nicky, oh I'm jealous! I've never been there. I have heard it's like Sydney on steroids, though!

When I plan meals for the next day, I automatically building half a cup of ice-cream to have in the evening. There's no good substitute for the real thing.
-
Can you share your diary? Some times when those things happen I like to have some avocado on toast, or cook with oil or eat some nice cheese.
-
Too long! About 15 years. I keep saying when my kids are out of school I'll move back home. At least that's the plan!
-
Do you have a food log we could view... and do you track your food? (Also... do you weigh your food? I know that might seem like a weird question, but I know from personal experience that my idea of a serving size of ice cream is very different to that on a food label.)
-
I'm jealous! How long have you been in Oz?
-
Donna, yup that counts! At least you know what it's like to sort of never belong anywhere. I don't feel completely Australian anymore and I'm certainly not American!

Ezekiel bread, hummus, baby spinach and black beans. Smoosh it all together for easy sandwich/meal.

At least two 1L bottles, sometimes two and a half bottles. (2.5L or 2500mL or 10 cups)

I had a diet coke yesterday, but haven't eaten FF in, oh, ten days? Last night I had errands to run and ate a healthy meal at home before heading out. On my way home, DD asked for Taco Bell and I granted her wish. Fake-Mex had never smelled so good before... but I resisted. Once I start eating processed food my body seems…

My standard breakfast is 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt, fruit, and 30g of Bare Naked granola. I throw it all in a cup, mush it around, and eat it during my commute. It's quick, convenient, and a relatively inexpensive breakfast.

Kale chips. Ugh. I don't get what the hype is.

I am! Well, I'm an expat living in the USA, and older than most of you -- a whopping 35 years old. ;) Feel free to add me -- I'm 6' tall, have kids, work FT, and try to eat clean. (Although, what I wouldn't give for a minimum chips with chicken salt right now.)
-
Awesome!! What does your husband think of the "new" you?
-
It's not the answer that you want, but I use the recipe feature of MFP. The other thing is to at least jot down the quantities and calories of what you're using in the recipe. It's not going to give you the macro, but at least a ballpark caloric value.
-
You can add me, too!
-
Sadly, I have to have my height checked every year for health insurance. I always thought I was 6' tall. I'm now 6'1". Boo.
-
I'm in! I've been even thinking about Halloween, and deliberately buying candy I don't like to hand out to the kids (I'm looking at you, Butterfingers) or just handing out glow sticks.

Greek yogurt. Daily. And not the stuff that is full of sugar and fruit. I like plain Greek Yogurt and I add my own mix-ins, or Chobani.
