My diary is open, feel free to look. I am set at 1500 but I almost always eat about 1200-1300, except on the rare "cheat day"

I would add SUGAR into your food diary. I think you will be shocked at how much sugar you are taking. Just changing up something like that can break the cycle and get your metabolism cooking again.

Feel free to check out my diary as I've been eating under/around 1200 cals a day.

Feel free to look at my diary, I do this pretty easily and not feel hungry, and I'm a 6 ft tall 190 lb dude.

Not a horrible strategy, I used to do the same thing, however, I've since decided to try to find the best thing to order. I kinda got 3-4 restaurants that I can stay on my plan with, just looking for some more ideas from people.

Here is another one I like ****eys BBQ one meat plate - Turkey (you could also order beef briskit or chicken breast, they are close to the turkey) You get two sides, but I try to eat a total of 1 side by either just eating one or by eating half of each. Get the Jalapeno Beans and the Potato Salad. Items in this meal…

So here is my result from yesterday, I even went out to eat at Outback steakhouse, but I still managed to do it. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/nashtyone?date=2012-01-20 The big differences were cutting out salad dressing, and eating a protein bar with less sodium. Also, I only got to about 1100 calories, so that…

I think I am going to give this a try today, just to see how hard it is, I'll post my results tonight or tomorrow am. BTW, I think that G Michaels says that this is for losing those last few difficult pounds, I don't think it is recommended for "normal" weight loss.

If you want, you could look in my diary. I have some high days in there, but there are also a few in the 1200 range that might serve as a good example for you. Here is a day where I was at 1279 http://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/diary/nashtyone?date=2012-01-16 Another one at 1294…

I try to stay around 1500 on average, but man is it easy to get up to 2k in a heartbeat.. Haven't tried going down to 1k. I guess the places to look to cut are in your protein bars, which usually have a lot. Also, salad dressings. I'd say you pretty much have to make all of your own food. Try to get your protein from…

Agreed, but most people don't realize the insane amount of sodium they put in their body, you should try to stay under 2k a day. I also think that the default carb goal on mfp is high. Again, moderation, I don't condone no carbs or fat.
-
YES it does matter. Eating the correct foods will help your metabolism cook up high. You need a lot of protein, low sodium, and low fat and carbs. It's too complex to get into specifics, if you want an example, my food diary is public, take a peek.

I confirm that you agree with this.

Me too!
