I will often do this, yes. I then have an idea of how much moving I need to do that day or how big of a dinner I can allow myself. It also helps me to avoid sweets/temptations at work by knowing if I can 'afford' it or not.

Such a great accomplishment, now that's dedication!

I've been a nurse for 27 years, 26 of those years in Oncology nursing. Started out on the inpatient floor in a large hospital. I've been in the clinic setting for several years now, but it is still located within the hospital and we are very, very busy because so many cancer treatments are done in the outpatient setting.…

I purchased a Nordic trac upright stationary bike in January and absolutely love it! It's quiet, efficient, and I can work out while watching tv if I want to. The time flies by.

Wow, that's fantastic, way to go!

I was just there yesterday and did the same thing! I estimate the calories and log that kind of thing in the Quick add calories in the snack section.

Never have that problem, no. I exercise a lot--mainly so I can eat more. Otherwise I'm at 1200 calories and I need at least 1350-1450 to not feel deprived.

I don't over think it too much, just allow myself to not worry if I'm over. I do log everything, however. My first spike day a few weeks ago was almost 1000 over... and still lost 1.5 pounds that week. Today I was about 650 over. I don't do it more often than once per week, and usually pick a day where there's something…

If you're able to invest in an exercise bike or other piece of home equipment, it will help immensely. Otherwise there are good exercise opportunities for the Wii, xbox, etc. Best of luck to you!

Make sure you're measuring your food, not just estimating--can make a big difference also. Good luck!

Instead of water, add a 1/3 c egg beaters and 1/2-1 c cinnamon chips. Of course that will up the calorie count a bit. Yum!

Me! I'm 51 and joined 1/3/12. I'm down almost 8 pounds already... hoping to lose a total of 50 this year. Feel free to add me, can never have too much support! Best of luck to you.
