  • I suffer from "mild" Crohn's. Feel free to add me!
  • Hi! I was diagnosed with Crohn's in the summer of 2016. Feel free to add me.
  • I was diagnosed in July of 2016. You can add me and we can be newbies together.
  • I used to be vegan but switched to pescatarian (health issues, long story). I still eat plant-based 75% if the time.
  • Do you still need a mentor?
  • That seems on since many fruits have a ton of sugar. I try to stick to low carb fruits and veggies. If I add bananas or pineapple to a smoothie, I try to stick with 1/4-1/2 cup and use berries for the remainder.
  • I'm trying to get back on track today! I'm off for a few weeks (teacher) so I have no excuses!
  • I'm actually a big fan of Dr. Fuhrman, but the diet is too much fiber, which can cause complications due to an autoimmune disease (which is what Dr. Fuhrman claims his diet treats). I've loosely followed the rules of the 21-day fix (and have Googled container sizes) and have seen remarkable results with that, except I eat…
  • I am 5'3" and will never look like a VS model. I have short limbs too. My goal is Scarlett Johansson. She's around 125 lbs but still has curves and muscles. We currently have the same height and bra size so I think it's possible. LOL
  • I had a recent flair up from my Crohn's and I'm at the point where I'm nervous eating raw fruits and veggies. I know that melons are low- residue so that's been my go-to for fruit. I'm used to drinking green smoothies for breakfast but lately I've reverted back to old habits of cheese (for some reason cheese doesn't affect…
  • Thanks guys!
  • The ab pic on my profile is 2 weeks in. I'll be honest, I have a long, narrow torso, so abs come easier to me. My arms will probably be tone next, but my legs haven't been slim since before puberty. I'll take what I can get. I don't have an online album, but I'll try to post updates in my profile pics.
  • H1N1? Yikes! Feel better! Definitely wait until you're healthy to continue.
  • Yupers...just kidding. I live in Metro Detroit (and consequently teach Michigan History to my 3rd grade students). You guys are much nicer and laid back! Good luck with P90X3
  • Thanks everyone! I actually have been to the doctor recently, and my BP is normal. I'll try to avoid putting my head down. As you all know, some of the P90X3 routines involve during burpee-like moves, so that is a lot of the problem. I drink a lot of water, so maybe on my drive home I'll have an apple to add in some…
  • I'm in week 3 of the Lean program. Today I'm doing the Warrior. I missed a day this week, so I'm a day behind. Tomorrow I'm doubling up with CVX and Yoga X to get myself back on schedule.
  • We will see...I'll for sure post a 90 day pic!
  • Hi. I'm 29 and from metro Detroit. I am on my 3rd week of P90X3. I was just sick of making excuses, and in all honesty, the gym bores me. This works much better for me. I am already seeing results, which could also be in part to my diet plus adding in yoga (and soon to be doing swimming). The first week, I couldn't do one…
  • I've been using a heart rate monitor and now I realize why I have such a tough time. Today, my heart rate was up to 190 at one point during "Accelerator." I had to pause it so I could walk around for a minute and get it down. Do any of you have any suggestions for modification during Tony's cardio workouts? I know I was…
  • How about a 3 egg veggie omelette for breakfast? I suppose you could add meat (I'm a recent veghead), but a lot of "breakfast" meats are super processed. Even when I ate meat, I avoided them. Perhaps you could add some fresh sausage or ham from a local butcher.
  • I'm doing it right now! Day 17 done!
  • I'm on my 3rd week of P90X3, day 17. I was always hesitant to do the original one due to the time factor, but this is only 30 minutes a day. What's nice about that is if you accidentally (or not) skip a day, you can make up for it by doing 2 workouts the next day. I'm currently doing the "lean" workout, and so far the only…
  • I agree with the chili. It's super filling. I like to make a big batch and then freeze the rest for later. You can do the same thing with lasagna, stuffed shells, etc. Make it once, eat it again later.
  • Back when I ate meat (including fish), I always loved chili tuna rolls or rolls that included veggies. Usually a friend and I would get one roll each plus split another one. Personally, now that I've tried veggie versions, I can't believe how good some are. Like other people mentioned, avoid cream-based ones or tempora.

  • I'm trying to add more protein and healthy fats. I started adding coconut oil to my morning coffee and eating a piece of bread with natural nut butter as well. I am still losing, but I want to make sure my metabolism doesn't slow down. I used to have a egg and cheese breakfast sandwich from Tim Horton's, hash brown, and…
  • P90X3. It's only 30 minutes a day, so if you skip a day, you can make it up by doing a double the following day. Super fun, even if Tony Horton has some cheesy jokes. I'm doing the lean plan and so far, the only equipment I've used is a yoga mat, 10 lb weight, and a towe. I just finished day 14.
  • I personally have trouble meeting my goal. I teach and therefore am often to busy to have breakfast in the morning and work through my lunch. I supplement with a green smoothie for each. I'll also have almonds and/or half an avocado for a snack. With workout cals lost and dinner cals gained, I'm usually still several…
  • I'm 5'3' and I'm just trying to get down to 120. Eventually, maybe 115. I maintain muscle easily, so I will never be rail-thin, unless I developed an eating disorder. 115 is completely healthy. Any less, you're starting to look at being underweight. Just be happy with the way you are!
  • I'm 5'3" with a current weight of 128, goal weight of 120.
