• My mini goal is just to maintain ( though if I lost 5 more lbs I wouldn’t be mad) and to be consistent with getting my steps in and strength training. I want to be the best, healthiest version of myself that I can
• Congrats……you’re hard work and consistency is paying off
• Glad to see you are still posting. For me plannning my meals in advanced and pepping some things helps me stay on track ex I cut up onion, bell pepper and zucchini then I can add it to meat for stirfry or frijitas, I can add it to eggs to make a scramble or frittata. Also if I grill extra chicken when I cook it I use it…
• I lost 135 lbs and have kept it off for 12 yrs. Going up and down a bit, but always get back ontrack. Still using MFP to track calories, protein and still working out, though I have switched up my routine several times through the yrs. Recently concentrating on lifting weights and getting my steps in……
• Congrats that is a huge accomplishment. Thanks for sharing I needed to hear this today. I lost 135 lbs and have kept it off for 12 yrs ( going up and down a bit, but catch myself ) for the most part. Lately it seems harder not sure why but I am doing it anyway. Today when I do my workout I will think of your story, one day…
• Congrats. I can relate, when I am heavier I just don’t feel good about myself. It’s hard to feel sexy when I feel so gross. Good for you for figuring out what works. I have never made separate meals either, sometimes I don’t eat the side, or just have a spoonful then fill my plate mostly with veggies or watermelon or fresh…
• Good for you, congrats. consistency pays off. I have been here 15 yrs still logging. It helps me to keep the weight off that I have worked so hard to lose.
• Keep up the good work. Consistency and not giving up is the key. If you don’t meet your goals just keep going, doing better next week. What helped me was breaking everything down into smaller goals. Concentrating on the next 10 lbs at a time instead of the big picture, making my goal 8,000 steps instead of 10,000 ,I…
•
• Congrats, that’s great. You got this

• For me when I don’t feel like working out I tell myself just do 10 mins anyone can do 10 mins, once I get up I always end up doing more often times my full workout, also I find if I do my workout in the morning sometime before 10 I’m more likely to do it, as the day goes on things get in the way or I’m just tired and I am…
• Sounds like you r off to a good start. The best plan is the one you will stick to consistency is key. I started off by watching YouTube shorts on weight lifting and incorporating a lot of the basics like skull crushers, bicep curls, overhead tricep extensions, hip thrusts, Romanian deadfifts, squats, lunges, chest flys,…
• I agree with the above comments, logging everything is key, stay within your calories, exercise everyday even if it’s just a 10 min walk and increase your exercise as you go along, weight lifting is good so you don’t lose muscle with fat, get enough protein and find lower calorie substitutions for foods you currently eat…

• Congrats. You are doing great. Finding ways to fit exercise into our lifestyle is key, and making changes in our diet. I have found a lot of substitutions for things I use to eat……..you got this, just be consistent
• Yes, I started MFP at 45 yrs old, it took me 3 yrs to lose 135 lbs, so I was 48 when I reached my goal and have kept it off, with a few up and down fluctuations for 12 yrs. So yes with hard work and consistency anything is possible. My advice just concentrate on 5 or 10 lbs at a time and don’t give up
• I miss the newsfeed also. I love MFP though , I started in 2010, it’s the only program I have found where I lost weight and kept it off, so I don’t really want to switch. I lost 135 lbs, it took me almost 3 yrs but I did it and until this last yr kept it off. This last yr I gained 14 lbs, my husband went through cancer…
• Just wanted to share that I made this post in 2012, but have kept it off. I have gone up and down during that time but when I start gaining I get back to being serious about it …..
• I know I don’t hold the record, but I am currently at 639……not too bad
• I loved the newsfeed it let you cheer people on when the lost, had a good workout, logged consistently. Now we don’t know what r friends r doing and can’t encourage each other the same way
• It is so easy to go back to stress eating when we get thrown off our game. I started MFP almost 15 yrs ago lost 135 lbs in 3 yrs and kept it off until last yr. My brother passed away at age 56. At the end of 2021. My husband has Parkinson’s and had deep brain stimulation surgery back to back on each side 3 weeks apart in…
• Congrats. You look amazing. Consistency is key, just keep doing what you’re doing. You got this
• You’re doing amazing. Love your attitude . And if it takes 3 yrs that’s ok the important thing is to just keep going, be consistent. I joined MFP almost 15 yrs ago, I lost 135 lbs , it took me 3 yrs but I have kept it off . I still use MFP to keep me accountable and to maintain my weight loss. Looking forward to seeing…
• Congrats. Amazing transformation. So happy you found something that works for you.. Can’t wait to see your final pics in 60 lbs. You got this
• I lost 135 lbs, took 3 yrs to do it and I have kept it off almost 12 yrs……..
• Mini goals are good, they help us to stay motivated. When I first started I just concentrated on 10 lbs at a time and every time I hit it I bought myself some new earrings. I had over 100+ lbs to lose and it was overwhelming.
