I have just found fitness blender and have been looking into saving the videos so I can take them to the gym etc.. I did the 1000 calorie burn last night which was excellent. I am now creating a You Tube playlist just for fitness blender videos. From this I can save the two 1000 Calorie burns AND list specific routines for…

Thanks - I eat alot of fish but find it difficult to eat enough on a daily basis. Just bough some Silken Tofu so will see how that affects the stats. Its getting the balance right with the fat that seems difficult but managed not to go over fat yesterday but still only about 60% there with the protein - trial and error me…

Hi rmhand Thanks for the reply - yes I am struggling to get the protein up without the carbs and yes its the pre-made/powder shakes I want to avoid. I often find them too sweet for me as i have a very savoury not sweet tooth and do tend to make everything from scratch as a rule so not into preservatives etc..

Poppadoms instead of starter - each large one is less than 50 calories - have them with yogurt or onion relish instead of sugary chutney. For main course avoid coconut based curries - they will be using full fat coconut milk which is laden, choose a tomato based sauce with boiled rice if they do it, or go for a vegetable…

If 36/24/36 is supposedly the ideal then maybe it gives us something to aim for. In regard to what to wear - now that my waist is back to the size it should be (27") I am able to wear the clothes I love which show off curves - full skirts and dresses with very small tailored waists - 1950s Grace Kelly style. It shows off…

So if Barbie is unhealthy does anyone know a safe/healthy/idea bust, weight, hip ratio to height - or does it not exist because we are all so different? Just wondered...

Hi, I'm keen to hear replies on this too, I'm new to running and of a similar age to you so....

You have been given some great advice in this post and really I think the main message is be positive about what you are doing and convey the health message as clearly as possible. I started losing weight last year, I have always carried weight ( about 15-20lbs) but as long as I felt healthy and was capable of doing…

Think I need a new profile picture

thanks - thats the thing I am finding I love about MFP - so many people with good advice who are always willing to help

Good idea - didn't even think of loosening up at the same time. Thanks

Hi, I posted a thread yesterday asking for advice as I am not on meds either. I know how hard this can be - I had my left thyroid lobe removed at the age of 24 following over 3 years of depression symptoms, weight gain, agrophobia etc. It will happen unfortunately - the best thing I can recommend is to remind yourself all…

Always felt relatively healthy, I have carried weight, I have suffered from lethargy but have led a very full life anyway so until I really need them and there is no turning back I would rather not. My operation followed 3 years of chronic fatigue, false diagnosis and various depression meds - I really didn't want to take…

Thanks - I followed the link and will get in touch with her - also there was some other non-med advice on there which was good.

Thanks - I am nervous about the calories I consume - generally I struggle to eat them all from a not hungry point of view but this week I have most days so will see if I lose still.

Find something else to do with your hands - if they are active you can't snack - I found late last year when I was making a craft in time for Christmas that I just stopped snacking in the evenings. I would even fancy a snack or make a drink and forget to have it as I was concentrating. Is there any craft you like to…

I agree completely that it depends on your shape and everyone is different - a lot of people lose weight unevenly. Like many you may have a part of your body you are more aware of, the part where you carry the most weight and have always carried weight - this is probably the last part to lose and will take longer to show…

82 of 242 daily allowance on 1200 cals - any use to you?

thankyou - gives me a good start to work with.

So suprised no-one knows anything about this?

A really simple exercise - do press ups, on knees if must, straight back - normal, BUT turn your hands in so your finger tips are pointing towards each other - you will feel it in your triceps not biceps
-
Yep - we do that we our phones - its a guestimate at first then a race to see who gets the right weight first

I am probably throwing a spanner in the works here, please forgive me if I do but I can only write about my own experience. I had a thyroid operation 16 years ago to remove my left thyroid lobe when a lump which had been growing for 3 years became extra thyroid and hence made me overactive, whilst it grew it was…

Yes - I have stopped losing weight recently - on 1200 but never eat back my calories - just not hungry and as I train in the evening I don't want to eat after as its late - I am A LITTLE CONFUSED?
