  • People say to eat back your exercise calories... If you do, you will NET your calorie goal. for example 1200 cal goal but you ate 1500 and exercised 300... means you netted your 1200 goal. I lose more weight when I net lower numbers, but they say it's healthier to not net below 1200. So I mix it up and do some of both.
  • You are not alone! I've completed 4 days of the 30 Day shred now and have stayed the same or even up a lb every day! It's my first time to add in strength training. And Jillian says it's possible to drop up to 20 lbs in the 30 days doing it... so far it's not working on the scale for me! I am hoping it shows like every one…
  • North Texas April 21st!!!!!!!!!! Me and my husband both.... our first one! So excited!!!
  • When we take long walks, my 4 1/2 year old and my 1 1/2 year old will still ride on our sit and stand stroller. But if we are going to go too far, then I take my 1 1/2 yr old in my umbrella stroller and make my older one walk, ride her scooter or ride her bike. She tires out easily still for being 4 1/2 though.
  • Before I got a HRM I logged how many minutes I did at each speed. Like the second commenter said after the OP. But I like my HRM much better!!! :)
  • #3 or #2 (#3 first choice though)
  • Call me dyslexic but when I first read the title of this I thought it said "crabs" instead of "carbs" oh wait... it does!!!

  • For the most part, I try to stay under calories, carbs, fat and sodium. I try to purposely overeat fiber and protein. If I do go over on the other stuff but an under on calories, I don't beat myself up about it... I just try to evaluate what it was that I ate that pushed me so high in that catagory and reevaluate that food…
  • I have this HRM http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003J2V8AC/ the Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS-Enabled Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor. LOVE IT!!!! My hubs as a fitbit. He likes the overall day activity it tracks but he is unable to actually track acurately when he strength trains and does Insanity. So he wants to start…
  • So true!!!! No lies and no secrets! Even about petty stuff! B/c if you can lie about something small, then you can lie about something big too!
  • Congrats! I celebrate my 5th wedding anniversary in 2 weeks! Here's my advice: BOTH of you read "Love & Respect" - The Love She Most Desires. The Respect He Desperately Needs. by Dr. Emerson Eggriches. From cover to cover. And you both need to pray for each other and for yourselves. No marriage is complete and healthy…
  • My kids are 4 1/2 and 1 1/2 (19 mths). They snack what seems like all day long. Both of them are under weight for their age range but they are at healthy weights for them per the Dr. We do eat in the car, and we do take snacks with us places if we are going to be out of the house a long time. And snacks at places like you…
  • bumping b/c I'm totally interested in this topic. Hope people continue to respond with their input. My oldest is not overweight, but eats a ton of sugar! The good kind (from fruit) AND the bad kind. And she thinks we are mean and that she's in trouble when she doesn't get candy. She doesn't understand it SHOULDN'T be an…
  • You guys BOTH need to read Love & Respect - The Love She Most Desires. The Respect He Desperately Needs. by Dr. Emerson Eggriches. From cover to cover. And you both need to pray. I understand what you are saying and I understand the sadness and frustration you feel. But you do BOTH have to makes changes in different ways…
  • I agree... You need to start adding more friends on here to share with you in support! People often do thread that are about finding your "twin" (someone that is built like you and a similar amount of weight to lose like you) for them to find people to add as their friends. Or just start a new post all together that says…
  • #1 @ 23 and #2 @ 26 Exactly 3 years apart. #1 was not planned, #2 was planned. I felt "ready" for #1 internally but not externally so much. What it boils down to more in my opinion is a couple things, have you been able to have a true MARRIED relationship with your husband for at LEAST 2 years pre baby? (get past the newly…
  • My husband is 5'8. I'm 5'3. Since I am on the short side already, I think I would probably not want the guy to be any less than 5'6-5'5 at the very shortest. I never had issues with guys being shorter than me growing up, but now I do think I would maybe have an issue having to look down to a man. As far as weight goes, I…
  • I log every day! Only been a member since Jan 9, 2012, but I'm done 19 lbs since then! Will be 28 years old in April and I'm 5'3-5'4 ish. SW 246 CW 227 I love positive friends who share the same determination. So add me if you would like to! :) Edit to add: I do keep my diary locked but give all my MFP friends my code! :)…
  • Have you had blood work taken to check your thyriod levels? B/c IF you are truly eating healthy, reduced cal and exercising... and still not losing... then I've heard the only other problem could be hormone levels like your thyriod. I'm not a Dr., but my best advice would be to go get an anual physical done and see what…

  • #1: First and foremost always ask your Pediatrician for their advice. #2: Do what you think is best for your kid as "mom" after seeking Dr's advice. #3: I've worked in a pediatric clinic, as well as I remember when I was sick at 15 before I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. My "online"suggestion would be to give him…
  • I have Crohn's. Was diagnosed right before my 16th birthday. (12 years ago!) THANKFULLY... I have been in remission since like 2003-2004ish! My last colonoscopy with last year, summer of 2011. I was SUPER skinny in high school b/c of my Crohn's. I always had the WORST eating habits. Nothing I ate triggered my symptoms…
