I'm 5'5" and am almost 140 lbs (which is my goal weight too)!.. everyone is built differently though.. Once you dip below 150 or so I'd reevaluate and see what your thinking of beyond that point.

Oh boy... the cuteness of this thread is OVERWHELMING!

I always get my produce at Aldis and I'll admit I've had bad luck every now and then, but that happens everywhere. So.... it might be the store... or it might of been fluke? If it happens again consider shopping somehere else.

I'm barely over 5'4" and am almost to 140 lbs. Currently I fit into a size 7/8... I'm hope the last few lbs will put me into the 5/6 range... but it may not.

Don't panic. Blood pressure fluctuates and chances are your body was just stressed when you got your reading. Follow doctor's orders eat a low sodium diet (the DASH diet is generally recommended), exercise when you can, consider some meditation... If worse comes to worse, they may prescribe blood pressure meds... but that…

Almost eight months. I did everything I could possibly do : Zumba, running, walking, biking, circuit training, yoga, dance, interval training... the list goes on and on..

I have had a Polar for the last year or so... it's fabulous.

For me it was the following indicators: People started calling me slim. I often over-estimated my size -- thinking I was much larger than I actually was. I could walk up the stairs and not get winded. It was easier to get out of bed in the morning.

@Mavrick : lick... and then bite.

When I started running I was in the same boat: two bras. Typically I wore one underwire and one heavy-duty sports to help eliminate the jiggle. People will likely advise you to invest in some really good sports bras and I entirely agree. There is nothing more uncomfortable then not having enough support when you're…

Water .... it's AMAZING!

Ha! I totally can relate. Week 5 is such a shock compared to the previous weeks that it seems a little terrifying. When I did C25K, I just kept repeating to myself over and over again (for the entire 20 minutes) : "Slow and steady wins the race." Just remember : Week 5 is by far the hardest. If you can get past this week,…

Spot training is impossible. You can incorporate some strength training to help firm things up a bit though.. If you're anything like me : learn to love them. They might not be going anywhere. I was sooo hoping to lose some boob-age after loosing 50 lbs. No luck. I actually went up a cup size -- 38D to a 32DD.

C25K is great! LOVE, love, LOVE it! I did it last year : lost 50 lbs and now I'm running my first half in just a few weeks. It's a wonderful program!

Tough love : Get yer *kitten* out there and just do it. Things I like to keep in my when I go for a run and am feeling a wee bit self-conscious: 1) You are lapping everyone on the couch. 2) You are going to feel amazing afterwards (wooo runner's high!). 3) Whenever I see someone running... whether I know them or…

Simply put : texting has just become engrained in our society. It's what's considered the "norm." That being said, I do feel your frustration... I'm currently dating a guy that is much more comfortable texting than talking. So I call him. And if the texting really bugs me ... I gently let him know that my preferred means…

Oh! Ohhh! Pick me! I'm just starting round 2 of the 30DS!

1. Lucky green stars on the top of my foot 2. Symbol behind left ear (matching with my BFF) 3. The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland on my shoulder 4. An illustration of a flower from the children's story Ferdinand by Munro Leaf 5. A rose on my ribs (matching with my brother) 6. Cranes on my hip (from a drawing a…

Everyone is different. Personally : I like to eat something small about 45 mins to an hour beforehand. Toast or a piece of stringed cheese and fruit or something. Big meals make me lethargic. Also, I can't eat bananas before running. Weird? Perhaps... but I get sick every time.

Nothing. Just breathing in and out... and that is the beauty of working out. It's my time NOT to think. Otherwise: I'm that crazy lady singing along to her iPod...

I was feeling pretty last Friday... sooooo, four days ago.

The single most important item in my arsenal: a great pair of running shoes. fo' sho.

I'm able to accept a lot for the right person, but dependency issues is a HUGE deal breaker for me. I just cannot stand clingy dudes. :explode:

I consider "clean eating" to be nothing processed or pre-packaged. Clean eating is an attempt to eat foods as close to their natural state as possible. But! there is no single, universal definition.

The BIGGEST mistake new runners make is starting out doing too much too soon and that's why you see sooooo many people recommending a program like C25K (myself included). So, here are my suggestions: 1) Go to a shoe store that specializes in sports shoes and get fitted for a good pair of running shoes. 2) Get a seriously…

A 12 minute mile is still a mile. Seriously: it's great. As a beginner don't worry about your time... just run. When I started running my first 5k was 48 minutes. Now I run them in 28 minutes. I didn't focus on the pace... at all. But, the more I ran the faster my pace became just naturally. Don't worry about it for now.…
