I don't just like this... I love this. :drinker:

Every gym I've ever been to has a combination of fit & healthy folks and people who are average or heavy and simply trying to get healthier. It isn't like the high school PE classes in there and if it is, join a different gym. If you're reluctant: see if you can get a trial membership for a week or two and test the waters.…

I've had good look with Champion sports bras with underwires in them. If all else fails, you can't deny the holding power of doubling up bras. When I'm doing an "extra-bouncy" activity I'll were a regular bra under my sports bras. The girls seem to stay put best that way. :smile:

Eat something. There are worse things than going slightly over your calories... like starving yourself and then going overboard on a pint of Ben and Jerry's later.

I only date hairy beasts.

I would recommend talking about it with her. Sometimes when we're so close to someone... it's difficult to gauge their weight loss. But really there can be a million different reasons why she hasn't commented on it. Sit down and calmly talk about it: Let her know that your fitness and health is important to you and that…

I used to have the same mentality and wound up obese, nearly 200 lbs with stage 2 hypertension, depression, and unable to stay awake throughout a regular work day. Simply put: your friend clearly hasn't had to worry about her weight because she is genetically predisposed to be thin. Congratulations to her; most people are…

If you buy a lot "organic", "natural" labeled things... (or so they are marketed) it's going to cost a lot. Think in terms of whole, food in their original and unprocessed form. It can actually be cheaper if you plan it out. Step one: The farmer's market is your friend. For real. Buy in season fruits and vegetables from…

Men that can build stuff... for reals... Or a ton of wine... that pretty much does it every time. :drinker:

Yes : it annoying and time consuming and awful. I hate it. I despise counting calories. BUT! it's a necessary evil. Whenever I get grumpy about it I just repeat over and over again: Suck it up, buttercup! It needs to be done. Make a routine out of it... it will be slightly less annoying.

It depends on bone structure... not weight. Even at my thinnest, which was a very healthy and fit weight (145 lbs)... my thighs touched.

Emily, 5'5" is a tricky height to gauge weight. Some folks are comfortable 115-120... personally, I can't imagine myself at that weight. I'm 5'5" and seem to always be anywhere in between 140-150. I feel good at this weight : it's a healthy weight for me. Then again, I'm pretty muscular...

In addition to weight loss you have to consider what is maintainable. Do an honest assessment... do you really think you can keep up eating 1200 calories a day or less for an extended period of time? I know I wouldn't be able to... Not only is unhealthy, it's also unrealistic. Food is fuel and you NEED it.

I'm a little old-fashioned I guess. I consider it gentlemanly if the guy pays for at least the first date. I find that whole just "split the check" conversation a little awkward-- so when I'm dating someone I don't usually do the whole 50/50 thing. I would expect the guy to pick up the entire check one time and I will…

I've dated three guys since I started my weight loss journey: Guy #1 I was with for several years prior. He thought I was losing weight to be "controlling." Needless to say, he was a very unhealthy eater and did NOT support my healthier lifestyle decisions. Guy #2 I dated for six months. He was actually the same weight as…

I go by the : everything in moderation policy. If you deprive yourself of tasty, delicious treats constantly... your willpower will eventually fade and (if you're anything like me) you will soon find yourself demolishing an entire quart of mint chocolate chip icecream in one sitting. Eat the icecream! Enjoy it... just…

@Heather4nne... if that sexy lady in the poster is you... BOMBSHELL! Just stunningly gorgeous! If not, you have excellent taste. I love classy pin-ups. :heart:

I did c25k last summer. It has literally changed my life. You folks are AMAZING! Keep up the good work! :smile: After completing it you will feel such an overwhelming sense of accomplishment!

Girls want bad boys. WOMEN want nice guys.

As classy women... we're supposed to be offended at catcalls. I must not be that classy, because whenever a guy catcalls me it makes me feel AWESOME! :happy:

Beating Oprah's marathon time ... I LOVE that idea! I started MFP when I was about fifty pounds heavier and had just been diagnosed as obese-- in January 2012. At first, I couldn't run... so I did Zumba, walking and yoga, etc. I started C25K after I had already lost about 30 lbs in June 2012. I had forgotten how much…

You'll be fine. It sounds like your dad is seriously over-reacting. You know your own body much better than he does.

@Prakashrang ... I would definetly lick.

Amazing results! And seriously: you look like you've lost way more than 15.4 lbs. You look fantastic! Keep up the good work.

I've done both. When I first started with MFP, breakfast was a staple of my diet. I had to eat right away in the morning... and it had to be a pretty significant meal. After awhile my weightloss slowed. I realized that if I skipped breakfast entirely or just ate something small mid-morning... I wasn't as hungry throughout…

MissFit... beautiful eyes! Just stunning!

@meredithgirl99 BEAUTIFUL!

MFP is an excellent tool if you utilize it. Really, your success depends on your commitment to living a healthier lifestyle. That being said, I've lost almost 60 lbs with MFP and am now only a few lbs away from my goal weight. My friends on this website, their guidance, commitment, and support have been instrumental in my…
