The only time I run on a treadmill is if I'm in a hotel and don't feel comfortable running outside (like when I was in Mexico). Not only do I find it extremely boring, it hurts my knees. I'd rather run in the cold/rain/heat/whatever.

I thought they were talking about through exercise. I get that people burn calories throughout the day, thanks.
-
You are burning almost 2,000 calories a day, everyday? What exactly are you doing?
-
That fills you up? That doesn't seem like it'd be anywhere close to even 1000 calories... Add some snacks or something.

Yes, make a low sodium meal and freeze individual portion sizes. But I'm assuming you are talking store bought, and I don't have the container in front of me or feel like googling but I think Amy's meals aren't too bad. They definitely taste good for a frozen boxed meal.

I try to find the same/similar food product from a restaurant that is listed and use that data. Not perfect, but probably closer than completely guessing. For example, use Chili's wings since they are in the system when you go to your local place.

I really like to have something sweet at night so I started eating dark chocolate. Dove has dark chocolate and almond bars, I think it is like 45 calories a piece. Dark chocolate has a lot of health benefits and 45 calories shouldn't ruin your calorie goals. Also, though not as healthy but Weight Watchers has a 45 calorie…

I used to run with mine. When I first started running I did a program similar to the couch to 5k thing and my dog did it with me. When I started running longer distances she still stuck with me, but then I moved to the suburbs and had to put an end to it! I run at 4:15 in the morning and there are lots of deer out and she…

That sounds horrible, everything I enjoy eating is eliminated. Assuming you eliminate everything at once, and assuming you start to feel better, how do you know which one bothered you in the first place?

I've used Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Pizza Crust Mix and it was pretty decent for being gluten free.

For the starter, I would either pick the soup (depending on whether it's broth or cream based) or the prawn cocktail salad. The main is a little more complicated because roast beef, pork, and turkey aren't bad by themselves. So I would probably just pick my favorite meat and either just enjoy what came with it or leave the…

We spend about $150 a week on just food products. We eat almost all fresh meats/produce, some products organic but not all. It's a bit more expensive to eat food that isn't processed! But the $150 includes seven days of breakfasts, seven days of lunches, and five or six dinners (we usually eat out at least once on the…

Chalean Extreme is 3 months and between 30-40 minutes a day.

If for some reason I can't run outside and have to use a treadmill, I use different interval workouts. Just google "treadmill interval routines" or something like that and you'll find a lot.

You really need to relax a little. You are not going to gain weight from going overboard one (or two) days. There is no way you can maintain this lifestyle change if you let yourself freak out like this every year. Enjoy your couple days, don't step on the scale for a week, and continue your normal exercise routine.…

A half marathon on Thanksgiving morning, a half marathon two weeks later on my boyfriend's family's Thanksgiving morning (last one of the season, thank goodness!), continuing my regular diet and exercise plan, splurging for special social occasions, and this for Thanksgiving:…

MFP should have a "like" button.

Why are you trying not to eat after 7 pm? If you are hungry and under that many calories you could probably eat something...
-
I have thought about it because I have enjoyed BeachBody programs in the past. Since I work out at home, it helps to have a video to follow for strength training and I'm getting sick of my normal rotation of Chalean Extreme and p90x. How many days a week do you strength train and how long are the videos?

Try skinnytaste.com. Her recipes are low fat/low calorie, made from scratch, and the majority are pretty simple to make. Best of all, they are really good. I probably make recipes from there 3 or 4 nights a week. And it's free :)

Go back to my healthy routine the next day.

Me too... I thought juicing was steroids. I don't get it, why not just eat the vegetables whole? I'm not knocking it, just really trying to understand... seems like it'd be more satisfying that way.

If you are losing 1.5 pounds a week it sounds like you are already on the right track, so why do something like that? The weight you lose during a cleanse will likely be just water weight, probably come back, and from my experience when I was just starting to get healthy you will be hungry and miserable. Sounds like you…

If you find a hangover cure that works, no matter how many calories, please share it with the world.

I hope I stay below 3,000 but who knows! I'm running a half marathon that morning so that makes it totally justifiable, right?!
-
Yes, it can have quite a bit of calories. I log everything, meats, fruits, veggies, drinks, condiments, etc.
-
I have it in my right foot really bad right now. It was already acting up and after I ran a half marathon in October it has been horrible. I am (stupidly) running through it because I have another 1/2 on Thanksgiving and then on December 1st. After that I'm finally breaking down and going to the doctor. I've just been…

I'm not in any way against smaller meals. In fact, I eat five smaller meals a day. I'm saying you shouldn't say something like "not eating every two hours puts your body into starvation mode." Do you believe that statement? Why not just say eat smaller meals instead of putting out some ridiculous, unproven statistic? And…
