I'm on a different VLCD, but I identify with what you're saying about not being able to lose other ways. I was getting very fed up with poor results on calorie counting and WW. Fed up of being hungry all week and only seeing a 1/2lb or a pound off. Even with the VLCD I'm not getting the numbers I see others getting, but…

tandoori 1/4 chicken with salad, plain rice and vegetable curry on the side. It's about the only thing I dare order when I'm calorie counting. When I'm not, my favourite is mattar paneer with a peshwari naan. Dried fruit, coconut, usually finished with lashings of butter - sugars and sat fats through the roof!

thanks guys! :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: If the team was 4 people, 2012km is 5km each per day every day from now till July, which is q uite .a lot. Lets say if there were four or fewer, I'd definitely go for the 201.2km.

Yes that sounds like fun! It's on four or five times a day here. I usually watch a couple of episodes a day - that's a lot of crunches!

Yup I'm fat, and obese, and I don't pretend I'm not, and when I was morbidly obese I said that out loud too. Great topic. Thanks for posting.

Wow 70lb lost and the skin went back eventually - well done and you've given me hope!

I'm reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell at the moment too. It's odd and in a world of its own, but totally absorbing.

Good luck nalfavi!

INSPIRATIONAL!!!!! Thank you for posting this!

just what I was thinking... seriously is that a thing? I mean surely when you take a dog for a walk it's going to go for a cr*p?
-
yes I don't see that it would make any difference either. I know they're not the healthiest but they're cheap and quick and I'm on a very tight budget!

I've phoned Tesco customer services and they insist its correct. The main difference that I can see is that Tesco list the calories for the product as made up - the full packet should make 265g of finished product. Sainsbury list the calories per 1/2 pack but don't say if that's dry or made up. I guess I'll be sticking to…

for hot porridge I always make it with all milk and never add salt. I like adding raisins before i cook, and a teaspoon of almond butter after - a trick from The Amazing Adventures of Diet Girl. I also love 'raw' porridge - mix the dry oats with orange or apple juice, and maybe some raisins, leave overnight. Next day add a…

savoury porridge sounds interesting - do you mean like the packets of knorr shrimp porridge you see in Asian supermarkets?
-
brilliant acheivement. You look great!

hi jonna - I also worry about this and I do eat red meat occasionally, also nuts, seeds and big quantities of green leafy veg. Occasionally I eat fortified breakfast cereal but I normally prefer yogurt and seeds. Not sure what else I can do.

how do you roast chickpeas?

Hiya! I'm also from Scotland and am a similar age! Welcome to MFP - it's a great site and great community. It works if you stick to it!

Thanks sryan. I might not get another chance to try it - it's hard to get where I live - but I'm glad i did.

There are some heart conditions which potentially can go undiagnosed in otherwise fit people. http://www.c-r-y.org.uk/medical_conditions.htm which someone mentioned, is a brilliant organisation, as is www.cardiomyiopathy.org.uk. My own partner died of Dilated Cardiomyopathy a couple of months ago. It is less likely to…

I've used mfp for both iphone and android. Both apps are great. I use android right now and I love it. Especially the barcode reader and the daily nutrition summary. You don't get either of those features on the website.

100 pounds! What an achievement!

yup I drink squash rather than plain water. I'm going to take squash to Zumba tonight as well instead of water.
