I have. After gaining and then losing so much weight and breastfeeding on top of that, my ladies were left completely deflated. I had them done to breathe some life back into them, and I'm really glad I did. No regrets whatsoever.

I am taking Naturethroid and Cytomel. Loving it! Compound lifts! Back squat, front squat, deadlifts... and I go heavy! :D That's basically it. Because of my hypothyroidism, and PCOS, I'm more susceptible to blood sugar issues. I decided to get strong, and build muscle to change the way my body was using glucose. Its…

64 pounds lost!

45% fat, 35% protein, 20% carbs (mostly in vegetable form) for me. This is what I try to do on training days Monday through Friday. Weekends when I only do yoga is a lot more lenient. Works for me, and is approved by my doctor. Everyone is different though.

Unless you've got wayyyyy too much testosterone, or are taking steroids, as a female you're not going to get huge lifting anyways. Lifting for women makes us more compact. Eat at a deficit and lift.

What Lyndsey said.... lift heavy and eat!

As a woman, unless you have way too much testosterone or are shooting 'roids, you're not going to bulk up. Lift on lady!

I do my heavy compound lifts 5 days a week, and alternate my little support stuff. 1 hour cardio 5 days a week, and 1.5 hours cardio on my off strength days. I also jump on a trampoline in the evenings. I've found it helps me power out of the bottom of my squats tremendously, and its just plain fun.

Confession: I peed a little at the bottom of a 240lb back squat yesterday.

Back squat - 250lbs Front squat - 170lbs. Deadlift 265lbs. Overhead press - 100lbs Bench - 100lbs. Working on that upper body. My other pr's used to be a bit higher, but I took 2 months off to travel and decimated my strength. lol I started lifting heavy with a trainer (MARSOC recruiter, a friend of my hubby's) 4 days a…

Now Foods has an amazing Dutch Chocolate protein made out of peas! That's what I use. :D 24g of protein, and it tastes like chocolate cake batter, and is made with stevia and xylitol for sweeteners. You could put some PB2 in it too!

That doctor was an idiot, and I would run as fast as you could from them. Many years and thousands of thyroid patient experience in actually getting well, and being mis-treated by doctors have been compiled - stopthethyroidmadness.com.

But you sure as hell aren't supporting 250lbs for a complete hour (time under tension...) or doing HIIT for an hour! [/quote] I do. And I do it 5-6 days a week... for an entire hour. Heavy lifting is the only strength training I do, and I do it HIIT. I don't sit there for 3 minutes between reps. 2-3 reps EMOM.

When you are walking you are "lifting and carrying" your entire bodyweight over a significant distance. Think about how much weight you lifted during your weights session and and only moved it a relatively short distance. You can't convince me that lifting 250+ pounds doing back squats, front squats, and deadlifts…

I like salt baths! Every now and then when I'm especially sore, I'll throw some AHAVA eucalyptus salts in the tub and just soak. Protein shakes and foam rolling after lifting, massages every couple weeks. I lift heavy 5-6 days a week. The extreme soreness should be completely gone after a few days of just getting back into…

Breadless club sandwhich using romaine leaves as the "bread". Bacon, turkey, tomato, veganaise goodness. Nomnomnomnom!

Bret Contreras is a freaking sexy man. I think I would do anything he told me to do. lol... great book too btw.

White chocolate almond milk mochas. I have one every morning. I tried quitting them a week ago, but totally caved.

Firstly, most anti-inflammatory meds like ibuprofen kill the good bacteria in your gut which makes up the majority of your immune system. I would steer clear. When I switched meds from Synthroid to Naturethroid the majority of my joint pain went away. Now the only time my joints act up is usually when I eat gluten, or when…

I lift heavy because I AM vain. :p No one wants a saggy bum.

I actually see Dr. Saunders in Winston-Salem, and drive there from near Wilmington. Totally worth it.

I had a trainer for the first few months of getting into lifting heavy. I found it extremely helpful as I had never done anything like it before, and wanted to make sure I was doing my lifts properly so I could eventually go on and do them on my own confidently. If you're going to do it, make sure you let your trainer know…

I do squats 5-6 days a week. Heavy barbell back squats to 250 lbs and front squats to 140 lbs... and I do a LOT of them. As long as you're practicing good form, you should be fine.
