Yoga. Look up free videos on Youtube. Good luck!

Thanks for posting this thread! I started swimming a few months ago, and though it is harder than hell (!), I really do enjoy it! Great tips everyone.

You'd be hungry!

And I do agree with others, open up your diary and we could look specifically at your calories and exercise to help more.

One pound a week is actually what you should aim for, so that would only be two pounds. Just keep working hard. It will come. But check your expectations because it takes a lot of hard work and a lot of TIME.

It's only been sixteen days! Do not believe the weight loss commercials that say you'll lose ten pounds in a week. Those are all lies to try to get you to buy something. Healthy weight loss--and weight loss that stays off--is slow and steady. Your body takes time to adjust to what you are doing. Keep watching what you eat,…

I would say mix things up: do the bike, 30 Day Shred, and lift weights. However, I am here to tell you to keep doing what makes you happy. You are more apt to exercise if you are doing a form of exercise you enjoy. Sometimes we feel like we "need" to do other forms, but if we dislike that exercise and skip workouts, it has…

Your diary looks quite good the last few days though. Six above yesterday...that doesn't really count!

Be patient. There is no quick fix, even if it is just the little "pooch" you want to lose. I would recommend programs that include cardio and weights. However, keep in mind, sometimes our bodies are also shaped by genetics, and a pooch may be in your genetic makeup. I'm not sayint to give up, but you may have to be…
This.... and don't do the 50 shades..... for the love of god, don't do it!
Love this! I agree with the above comments about Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books (I've read all 19), Stieg Larson's Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Hunger Games, and James Patterson's Alex Cross novels.

I wouldn't worry about it as long as it fits into the calories of your day. I see nothing wrong with a big breakfast; maybe now you eat a smaller supper.

I often read people's message board posts and look at their profiles/diaries and feel so completely sad about what has happened to many girls and women in our society! Sad and unhealthy.

Lean proteins. Protein actually has an enzyme that helps break down alcohol. Have a chicken breast with every meal or other lean cuts of meat. Though the wives' tale is bread to absorb alcohol, it's not true. Good luck! (I'd love to know any cures that work. It does not happen often, but I sometimes over do it on the wine…

You have great goals! I would try just adding one at a time. Start with exercise. Make the time to exercise five days a week for one month. Then add in the good eating. You will probably find after you make a habit of exercising, the healthy eating will be much easier. Don't overwhelm yourself at first. That's when people…

You can customize your meals on here. That way you can have a breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and supper. Then your snacks will show up separately, and you can get a true representation of what each "meal" looks like. You just have to setup your customized diary.

I worked out at 5:00 a.m. for many years when my kids were little because I didn't have time and child care after work. It is hard to get up. I like the advice given by others, like the alarm clock on the other side of the room (which I still do, by the way). One thing I did was I watched television while I was working…

For just a month, I think two pounds and three inches is great! It took me 100 days to lose three pounds and two percent body fat! Remember, real weight loss (that stays off) is slow and steady. Don't believe the get thin quick commercials. They. Do. Not. Work! What you are doing is the only thing that truly works: eating…

Though this is a "diet" site, it really is about a lifestyle. People can diet all they want, but many people on here try to find a lifestyle that works for them...and sometimes that means some junk food. Part of tracking is figuring out what you eat, then trying to stay with in calorie goals, and then making choices of how…

If you have the Iphone app, along the top on the "Home" screen is a weekly tab. You can click on that and actually see how you are doing for the week. I go by the week. I try to stay under my calories, but if I go over one day, I make up for it at least one or more days the rest of the week so I'm good on the whole.

Geocaching is really fun. My kids are 16 and 20, and we did two together, that they liked. The third was beyond their "fun" level. My husband has a GPS that we use for ours after just finding the coordinates on the geocaching website. I think it's really fun. I love to walk, and geocaching gives it mystery and purpose! All…

Research actually has shown that there is some increase in athletic performance from caffeine intake before athletic activities. However, the research implies that one-two cups is beneficial, but seven or more doesn't help more. Actually, if you do not have other health issues, the consumption of coffee is not harmful. Is…

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to walk; however, it is probably not the best exercise for fast weight loss. If you can go on a long walk every day (four miles or more) and have a calorie deficit, you will lose. Running burns more calories in a shorter amount of time, but if you're like me and have a hard time doing something you hate…

You also need to take height into account. A woman who is five feet may look very different with the above measurements than someone who is six feet tall. Plus, keep in mind that part of body shape is genetic; some women are going to have more curves even when very thin than others who won't have curves even when heavier.…

You can retrain your taste buds and your stomach. Those foods will always taste good to you, but the more healthy options you try, the more you will like those options. Keep in mind, healthy options can be flavorful, also. Spice up your healthy food with spices, seasonings, herbs, balsamic vinegar, lemon zest, fruits, and…

Thanks, everyone!

Proud of your bravery. You look great!

Yum!

I have my diary public and this helps me be accountable knowing people see what I eat and exercise. So I do think friends help some people.

I have five or so. But they seem so stuck on!

I'm very similar to you in age, height, and weight. I'm trying to add more weights to tone up so my clothes fit properly. We'll push each other!
