  • Wow! Not much of a support group here...guess I'm on my own... :(
  • Yes this helps...thank you!
  • I seem to have a never ending hunger! I'm a teacher and I'm on my feet all day and when I get home it's like I am so hungry that I can't get full. I asked a nurse practitioner if the medicine causes weight gain and she said yes, that antidepressants cause weight gain - I have tried eating sliced apples while driving my 45…
  • Thank you!
  • I'm glad to be back! I just hope I can keep myself motivated this time!!
  • I agree with you, dramallamaduc! I would love for mine to shrink!! :-)
  • What I've done in past when I didn't have an HRM is take the number of calories it says I burn and divide it in half. For me this ends up being pretty close to what the HRM says I burn...it's really hard to tell unless you can input your info into the elliptical's computer.
  • I lost 45 pounds 3 years ago using MFP and gained back 32 pounds  I came back to lose the weight again and hopefully maintain better this time around. Feel free to add me if you'd like...we need all the support we can get!
  • Thank you....I feel so much better now than what I did 45 pounds ago!!
  • Thank you! I feel a lot better entering my forties than I did when I was mid thirties!!
  • Thank you, Nanpoodle! I so agree with you that keeping track of what you are eating is one of the best ways to stay on target...Good luck to you!
  • My advice would be to log EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth...Even down to the 5 calorie piece of chewing gum. Exercise on a regular basis and change it up every now and then. I can't say enough about drinking water...I found that when I drank at least 8 glasses of water a day that I would end up losing weight for that…
  • FINALLY WORKED!!! :drinker:
  • I'm trying again....These were taken when I was approximately 165 lbs. This is now with me 45 lbs lighter and on my 40th birthday:
  • I wonder if it makes a difference with my pic being a jpg image instead of a gif image? I don't know either...If there are any MFP'ers out there who can answer this for me, please do so!!!
  • Here is what I'm putting: Shoot...It did it again.... Here is what I'm putting minus the spaces at the beginning and end: [ img]http://i777.photobucket.com/albums/yy60/4richardsons/Before%20Pics/Me.jpg[/ img]
  • Also, I just saw under Website Feedback section on the Msg Boards where somebody else was having trouble with their ticker updating...You might want to take a look at that and see if it helps to fix your situation...Good luck!!
  • When you check in, do you hit save before going to another page?

  • You're walking aren't you? That's physical activity. Is it a fast pace or are you "taking a stroll"? I say add it as exercise because, after all, it's better than riding a car for 30 minutes and jumping out and walking into a building.
  • Congratulations! It feels totally awesome doesn't it?
  • Congrats on meeting your goal...I met my goal a little while back and I'm still carrying around a DD. I would love to lose down to a C but at least I'm not a DDD anymore!
  • Pictures that are sitting on my desk have to be positioned a certain way, if not, I can't function until I fix it...The big kicker for me is that my clothes have to be folded a certain way and when I hang blouses or pants the hangers all have to be hung in a particular position. My sister laughs at me because of this!!

  • I bought my digital scale from Walmart and no matter how many times I step on, step off, it still shows the same weight. I think I paid $20 or less for it. So far it's been a good one!
  • I am right there with you...It seems like that since it has been getting cooler that I have no motivation to exercise. I am still watching my calories, but I can't seem to get my butt off the couch and outside to walk or even upstairs to work out on the elliptical. I'm wondering if it's not some kind of "prewinter time…
  • Thanks for all the comments...It did feel great and that's the first time in a long time that someone has told me that!!
  • Thanks everybody for you comments...:flowerforyou: For those of you that are struggling, hang in there...The weight WILL come off if you keep up the hard work and drink water...LOTS of water...Don't forget to exercise! I wish all of you the best and look forward to reading all of your success stories!!
  • I have a Reebok Precision XT HRM and I hate it. After one time using it around several pieces of fitness equipment, it has suddenly stopped working correctly. I will be doing a workout and notice the heart rate is 0. Then I will notice it being 51 then it will jump up to 91. It's very sporadic and it does not give me an…
